Then explain. Pray tell, what do the vast majority of firearm owners do with their firearms, if they do not use them in an active protective manner?

    Mostly

    1) Hunting
    2) Shooting ranges
    3) Just possessing as status symbol

    They are basically expensive toys.

Then in the admission on the part of yourself, in short, simple, uncomplicated terms, the vast majority of firearm owners choose to engage in legal, constitutionally protected activity with their firearms. Meaning they are not committing harm to others, or otherwise posing the risk of harm to others. Therefore they are not the ones who are responsible for the supposed problems at hand, and should not be focused on as if they were.

Change the subject, and stop blaming the availability of firearms and their ownership on the number of individuals who choose to go about ending their own existence with such, simply because they are mentally ill and not given the attention and care they believe they need and/or deserve.

The vast majority of weapon owners never use a weapon to commit a crime or injure another.

Even hard narcotics may have non-dangerous uses. Sadly, too many guns are used to kill. The loss of 572,000 lives in USA 1999-2016 is a tragedy. If it was 572, it would not have been nearly as urgent.

Meaningless and irrelevant. Narcotic substances are not a constitutionally recognized or protected right, regardless of what the state of California may hold to the contrary.

Firearms are deadly weapons. That is their role in the real world.

What specifically makes it qualify as being a tragedy? Explain such.

Pray tell, why is it so "urgent" and in need of such immediate address? Explain such. Is the human species at risk of going extinct simply because a mere handful of individuals are choosing to end their own existence? What does the urgency stem from?

572,000 lives lost in USA 1999-2016 is a tragedy because all Human Souls are created by G-d. All people of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faith will understand.

As an Aspie I am someone whom many Social Darwinists view as "useless". Obviously the loss of half a million lives is a much greater tragedy then a loss of a thousand lives.

Such does not even begin to attempt to explain why the number of lives lost, primarily due to acts of suicide, constitute a tragedy. Nor does it even attempt to provide clarification on why such is supposedly in desperate need of being addressed in an urgent manner by society. Why does society need to try so hard to prevent a mere handful of individuals from ending their own existence?

Explain such without falling back on matters of religion. Explain the matter if logical, technical terms that a machine would understand.

Sadly within Social Darwinism, human lives are neither special nor precious. That should scare anyone.

Why should such ultimately serve to scare any individual capable of rational, logical thought? Why should humans having no meaningful value be regarded as anymore frightening than any other aspect of the real world, where people are nothing more than commodities to be bought, sold, traded, exploited, and then discarded once they have been used? Such is the nature of politics, where an individual holds no more value than a pack of batteries from a convenience store. The only ones who individuals hold any value to, are those who can exploit them for their own personal gain.

Pray tell, why exactly should anyone be scared of what is ultimately the truth? Why should they not come to realize that their preconceived notions of the world are factually incorrect, so that they can be made to move on with their existence?

It's more sad that people feel like the only thing they can do is kill themselves. That's the problem we should be focusing on, not the means, means isn't cause.

And it's fantastic that most defensive uses of fire arms don't end in homicide do you think they should?

Too many human lives are neither special nor precious, they are actually no more than two legged animals with no respect for life be it their own or others.

“Mostly” is irrelevant. The rights of individuals is all that matters. I used a suppressed handgun to carry out a mercy killing in the middle of the night last night. That doesn’t fit in your categories. But it’s a common use for firearms. Not everyone lives in “safe spaces” insulated from cold, hard realities of life.

Definitely, all people in need should be provided with medical and psychological care. I support Welfare State.

I can not disprove Atheist ideals -- it can not be proved or disproved. But the idea of some people being valueless is scary indeed.

Maybe you shouldn’t be so passionate about things you don’t have knowledge of.

Good then get a job and pay your fair share, if you cannot get a job then you have no business telling others how they should be taxed for your socialist dreams.

Then why do so many conduct themselves in a manner that would suggest they have no soul, and are no different from animals?
