Kamala acted like she was not anti-gun, but earlier position shows opposite

In the Presidential debate (2024), Kamala made the claim she wasn't going after people's guns.

Trump: "She wants to confiscate your guns."

Kamala: "And this business about taking everyone's guns away... Tim Walz and I are both gun owners. We're not taking anybody's guns away."​

She was shaking her head, acting like Trump's claim about her was completely unfounded and ridiculous.

But someone was able to dig back and unearth this old video:

Kamala: "...responsible behaviors among everybody in the community. And just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home, doesn't mean that we're not going to walk into that home and check to see if you're being responsible and safe in the way you conduct your affairs."

"When we create laws, it's not only about creating an opportunity, if you will, to prosecute someone for committing a crime, but more importantly, when we legislate our values, it's about trying to encourage certain types of behavior."​

The remarks came during a press conference introducing legislation that Harris helped draft, which sought to impose penalties for gun owners who fail to store their firearms properly at home.

The bill, which at the time had just been introduced to the city's board of supervisors, was ultimately signed into law a few months later by then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. It was bundled with other gun control provisions, including a new requirement for legal gun distributors to submit an inventory to the chief of police every six months, and a ban on possessing guns - even legally - in public housing.

It seems Kamala was either creating a false misimpression during the Presidential debate, or this is one gigantic flip-flop.
She wants to be elected President, and apparently her former position on guns would not help her in the swing states she is trying to win.

 

Kama Chameleon the Lying Lizard has consistently said she wants to ban "assault weapons"-a poorly defined class of firearms that in KALIFORNIA included the semi auto 3000 dollar pistols used for one of the Olympic shooting events (forcing the Olympic trials out of that state around 1993 or so). If you believe honest citizens shouldn't be able to BUY a firearm rarely used in crimes, then who can possibly believe you are OK with people OWNING that weapon-

if you are a gun owner and you wish to continue to do so legally, you best vote against Confiscating Kamala

 

Harris is as anti-gun as any other liberal politician-- there's isn't a gun control law out there that she will argue goes to far and/or violates the 2nd Amendment.

 

She reversed her position on fracking as well. She has to lie to the moderates so she doesn't look as extreme left as she is.

She gets elected what she said on that debate stage won't mean a damn thing cuz she will turn around and do whatever the hell she wants after that.

She has nothing more than an opportunistic liar who flip-flops with the weather
