Kid Rock Senate run - what chances?

    I'd normally have low confidence, but politics has become so unconventional that I sometimes just don't know, and wait for data. Trouble is, I haven't been able to find any data on it. No polls (still early for that). Has anyone seen any hard data that suggests he has much of a chance?

    The best I can come up with is the 2012 and 2016 races for comparison. In 2012 Obama won the state by 9.5, but the Senator won her seat by 20. She doesn't seem to be very vulnerable. Now granted, in 2016 MI shifted about 10 points to the right (as compared to 2012), but I don't see that shift holding, let alone growing.

    It looks like his chances are very doubtful. If anyone sees a poll or other hard data, I'd appreciate it. This race has garnered my interest.

    I doubt he has good a chance to win. But it would be great to see him take on Repubs and Demos. As he wont mince words, and he definitely wont put up with any disrespect by the Demos or Repubs.

    He says he is serious. He has 15 days to make that case.

    I hope kid rock does run. I'm tired of people running for office just to find ways to enrich themselves by selling us out. Kid rock will put Americans first.

    Your point is well taken.

    If a MORONIC IMBECILE like Trump (who is probably less intellectually qualified to hold the office of the Presidency than the average Homeless Panhandler) can be elected POTUS:

    THEN, literally anybody could be elected to anything.

    If he gets the GOP nom, Kid Rock will lose,. But it would be very entertaining for Michigan.

    He's not a career politician. He got my vote. I don't live in Michigan, but if I did, I would vote for Kid Rock. I respect him and trust him more than any politician.
