Based upon the actions and stated intentions of many of the political left I believe this commentary is particularly cogent in today's world. More are joining the race almost daily, but these fifteen represent “front-runners,” on the Democrat side, at least according to Post’s editors. As one scrolls down through this list, a solitary fact immediately jumps out: Every single one is venomously anti-gun and anti Second Amendment. Without exception, each caustically loathes private gun-ownership by US citizens, and each hates, with a rabid mania, American gun owners, both for what we believe, and for the individual freedom and liberty we so audaciously represent! What will surely happen, absolutely without fail, when any one of these Democrat/Socialists/Marxists takes the White House, and when Democrat/Socialists/Marxists end-up in control of Congress? Gun bans, magazine bans, ammunition bans, mandatory gun confiscation will be passed without delay, and promptly signed into federal law. Our Second Amendment will likely be repealed outright, and scrapped altogether. Within four years, all privately-owned guns in the USA will be confiscated and destroyed. Hold-outs will be rounded-up and herded into “re-education programs” (gulags). Will our Supreme Court protect us from this unconstitutional repugnance? They seldom have in the past, and even when they bravely attempt to, liberal/Marxist lower-court judges, along with liberal/Marxist legislators, contemptuously ignore them, much as they’re doing right now with so-called “landmark” Heller, McDonald, and Caetano Decisions. And yet they are the ones who have to keep coming back, as they are utterly incapable of leaving an exchange alone. Thus demonstrating the utter absence of anything more meaningful in their lives. They do not so much engage in their acts for the purpose of annoying others, as they do simply to have someone else to interact with. The metaphorical feeding could be described as an act of kindness that no one else in their empty lives will take the time to perform. The empty interactions they have on these forums are probably the most meaningful thing they have going to ward off their suicidal thoughts and/or tendencies.

He has a whole lot more credibility than you do. Again, one of the most highly regarded experts in his field in the world. Farnam is a student of history. Those who refuse to remember history are doomed to repeat it. The actions of the gun controllers mark a clear path to the future if they are not stopped and stopped hard. Your denigration of a documented expert on the issue is dismissed for derogatory reasons.
Tell it to those who were imprisoned in internment camps during the second world war. The legal precedent was set, and the matter ruled constitutional by the united state supreme court.
Tell it to the homosexual community, the transgender community, and so many countless other groups of individuals who are the extreme minority in the united states, yet still qualify for not only constitutional recognition, but also constitutional protection.
