you're comparing gun owners to a religious or racial group???????????????????????????? LOL!!!! oh you guys, the comedy never ends.
And yet firearms ownership is specifically mentioned by the united states constitution. Therefore there is no legal basis to attack it. So ultimately what offense was committed by those who were interned during the second world war, that justified the actions being committed against them?
they were declared enemies of the state, simply due to their ethnicity. not due to any specific actions or behaviors. even children were interned. we should always judge people by their actions and deeds, not their skin color or ethnicity or other things they have NO control over
Meaning they did absolutely nothing wrong. Just as legal firearm owners have done absolutely nothing wrong to warrant increased firearm-related restrictions, and should not be regarded as some sort of enemy that needs to be contended with.
if some extremist nutcase gun paranoid owners decide to wage war against the federal, state or local govt, because they are upset about new or existing gun laws, they have become traitors and will/should be dealt with accordingly and swiftly.
The public will simply continue to ignore these impotent firearm-related restrictions, and issue an open declaration, daring the elected officials to do something about the possible millions of willful violators, knowing that ultimately nothing will be done to address said violations.
and yet the 1994 AWB was complied with. most Americans are law-abiding and comply with common sense gun laws only a few nutcase extremists would resist, and we can deal with them swiftly
What do you mean "complied with"? It did do anything. Sure, the manufacturers complied with it, because they had no choice. People could still buy used pre-ban and new post-ban AR-15s all day, and as many pre-ban thirty round magazines as they could afford. Do you think that no citizens had any post-ban LEO 30 round magazines during the 1994 AWB? We still had mass shootings with "assault weapons". Well, when we see some, we'll see about compliance. Colorado has bans on the purchase of new "high capacity magazines" and requires a UBC for all private sales, and some transfers. Do you think that there are no 30 round Magpul magazines on the shelves in stores that aren't being sold to civilians as repair kits, or that citizens are ignoring the UBC requirement for transactions with friends and family? Better not count on using sheriffs to "deal with them".
most law-abiding, patriotic American gun owners in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey,New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and D.C. comply with their states UBC
....And yet, as the gun controllers push ever more draconian, unconstitutional laws we see a growing pushback of mass civil disobedience, and even law enforcement stating their intent to refuse to enforce them or any new laws.
If there is no way of actually enforcing the law, then it is not actually common sense. And yet in numerous states firearm registration requirements have been resisted, as have requirements that magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition must be surrendered to law enforcement. As have requirements that background checks be performed on private firearm transactions.
Then by all means, feel free to demonstrate and prove such is actually the case, rather than merely the assumption of yourself.
You have no way of knowing this, and it's not important, anyway - these laws do nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
When 10 out of 72,000 denials of NICS checks actually are convicted, and the rest of those 72,000 weren't simply left free to use straw purchases, theft and illegal street sales to get a gun, you might have a point. 10 out of 72,000 surely isn't "very effective" in anyone else's book
Trump could change that tomorrow. But he wont. It's a federal crime. Totally up to him if he wants to enforce it
Donald Trump can do absolutely nothing about prosecutors refusing to pursue certain cases. And he most certainly cannot force juries to convict a suspect. Therefore nothing can be done.
Learn how to use a lathe. Purchase a CNC milling machine. Learn how to gunsmith from experienced older generations. Pass this on to future generations. They cannot take away an idea.
China has strict gun control. Yet, there are provinces where machinists are illegally manufacturing guns and selling them.
