“Los Angeles County may run out of hospital beds in the next two to three weeks because of a new surge in coronavirus infections dating to the period in which Black Lives Matter protests broke out.

Last week, L.A. County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said that it was “highly likely” that a new spike in cases was partly related to the protests and riots, in which tens of thousands of people filled crowded streets.

Earlier this month, there were also massive crowds in Los Angeles and other major cities for LGBTQ Pride rallies that doubled as Black Lives Matter (or “Black Trans Lives Matter”) protests.”

They had been in denial about these riots causing an increase in the number of Wuhan virus cases. They were saying that the BLM and PRIDE events and causes were more important than the disease. They of course had a different standard for people protesting to re open the economy or to meet to support our President.

Well despite the surge in new cases it seems that the virus is weakening and that the death rate is still dropping across the country.

    Damn Trump rallies!

Amazing that dozens and dozens of gatherings consisting of 1000s and 1000s of people shoulder to shoulder yelling and screaming night after night gets less news coverage in relation to C19 infections than some backyard birthday party where 15 people were infected.

The MSM is too scared to mention it least they be called racist. And they would be, sad state of affairs.

No, the virus is not weakening. It is the same virus. Medical Professionals may be getting better at saving the lives of the infected and the current population of the infected is younger, on the average, but this virus is the same.

Well, then the LW has a problem. Are they gonna tell the BLM protesters to stop protesting? Because you know what that will make the LW at that point. And I wouldn't call LA a hotbed of RW thought.

Liberals are a danger to themselves. Let them get together and infect ech other. let them destroy their own neighborhoods and let them abort themselves out of existence. Good riddance.

There is no indication that the virus is weakening at all. It certainly is just as contagious as ever.

Death numbers are lower probably because we are learning how to deal with it better. Keeping it out of nursing homes better and better treatment.

But then...maybe not. Hot spots like Texas,California, Florida, etc. are just now getting slammed. We'll see how death totals go...

Way to make it partisan. The virus don't care about politics.

    It cares about warm bodies

No, we are just going to continue delivering the same messaging that we have always. We support black lives and we support your efforts to obtain meaningful police reforms in this country, but remember that the virus is still out there and still deadly, so make sure you wear a mask and engage in social distancing while appropriate. And if you are part of an especially vulnerable population, find another way to protest without joining the crowd directly.

    NBC

So the protest and riots did not spread the virus because other people stayed home?

Hey dumbasses at NBC people staying at home and thus not spreading the virus does not offset at all the people at the protest and riots becoming infected by being there. They spread the virus.

What is wrong with the MSM? Why would they try and sell such utter garbage concepts?

And people wonder why the term "fake news" is used?

    Huh?

The death rate and total number of deaths is dropping, has been. It's math, not opinion.

Are you calling on BLMs folks to stop endangering not only themselves, but everyone else by spreading the virus throughout their or others communities?

BLM should never have marched during a pandemic.
Are you going to call out Trump for having rallies and for being a bad roll model for not socially distancing and wearing
    a mask?

Sure. Why not. Are you going to start calling on BLMs to stop protesting now?

I never said they should protest during a pandemic and they should not in the future.

Are you still going to vote for Trump even though you agree he has acted recklessly to endanger fellow Americans by holding rallies and disregarding social distancing?

When will the call from you go out? Full throated condemnation of BLMs protesting around the country? Were you going to start your own thread? Follow the Light, I can help if you want...

    You side-stepped the question.

You still going to vote for Trump even though you admitted his actions endangered fellow Americans?

And then we had this going on in major cities across the US the entire month of June.

Sure. Why not? HIs having a political rally or many won't have near the impact of millions of angry looters and rioters will. Think of it as a lesser of two evils decision. And let's be super clear here. If a rally tests your temp and makes you have protective gear on, and they did, how do you suppose that is reckless endangerment? So just a whopper of a dilemma for you here.

Not when I don't support either. I have the simple opinion that BOTH are wrong. No dilemma at all.
And where are these "millions" of angry looters? A few thousand, maybe.

You seem to operate under the weird illusion that there is only "A" or "B" in this world.

Ah... cool. so you'll just continue to hide under a rock approach. Have fun.

This isn't an A or B. It is a both actually. When you made it only an A conversation, it begs the question of why.

Not saying they should is a hell of a lot different than saying they should not. The left as a whole never said a word about how the rioters and protesters were acting like “fools” just that the rally attendees were. Then they tried to cover the infections caused by the lefty riots and protest. Utter hypocrisy and outright lies.

That’s the ideology you seem to support. Care to explain how that makes any sense at all?

I think it was a terrible idea to have marches while Covid is ragging. I think it was stupid for Trump to hold rallies. It's perfectly possible for both sides to be wrong at the same time.

You seem to think there can only be "A" or "B" political stances in America. Sorry, dude - there are a hell of a lot more Independents and non-party voters these days than those who just stick to party lines.
