I studied political theory and history and backhand topspin as the Ivy Table Tennis Champion. Not zen.

Well now you have a little Zen. And if you don't mind, you could use it.

Well, totalitarian gun control is generally the first tactic of a dictatorship.

There aren't too many gun control advocates in here, a few, but not many. Most like to entertain the idea for educational purposes. Try things on, etc. Then if an idea looks good, keep it in mind. At the moment fundamentalism is in fashion. That will change.

You were probably banned because the person tattled on you. I have been reported for some pretty benign things. But it seems if you’re reported the mods have to do something about it.
And yes, we have had some spirited exchanges and always kept it civil. I only tend to bust balls on the arrogant pr!cks...of which you are not.

Every country is totalitarian to some extent or another, even if it is not immediately recognized. It is a side effect and symptom of the human factor of the equation. Even one who is doing what they believe to be in the best interests of the people of the nation, and who have the widespread support of the people that will be affected, can engage in what qualifies as being a totalitarian system. Some approaches are simply more noticeable and shocking than others.

In what way has gun restriction made Aus more totalitarian?

Perhaps to the aboriginal people who are most likely to be affected by firearm-related restrictions, when those given wide leeway in making judgement calls exercise discrimination against them for the simple fact that they are aboriginal?
