Should be the aim. What is the alternative? Inequality forever? Which would cause race hatred.

Even if you are not a fan of racial equality and integration, the people are there and citizens and entitled to push for equal opportunity.

They're also entitled to support the team they choose.

    Maybe you missed the point.

That sort of rabble is not par for the course in European sporting events and that should be clear from my post as I pointed out these games were halted because it is unacceptable. England went on to be banned from playing international football because of their fans' behaviour.

Some of you are not indigenous to the region. You are fighting a losing battle trying to defend your borders against people who are. In a few centuries, you will naturally evolve in any case. White people are white because they live in places which lack sun. You don't, so your people won't stay white. How are you going to discriminate once everyone looks the same :-D...it's not possible. Open the border and share your football team with Mexico (they have a better team anyway).

Man, you seem as anti-US as Plymouth is anti-UK. I am not overkeen on my country staying tied to England, but don't mind England as such and don't wish English people any ill. However, are you forgetting anything US is involved in, UK is often heavily up to its eyes in? If you fly with the crows, you get shot with the crows...

What I find totally amazing is to hear Americans, of all people, talking about 'censorship' in Britain, when they live in the most tightly-controlled brainwashery in the advanced world. Remarkable stuff, ideology!

Agreed, but in America it is not so much about actual censorship as it is overcentralisation of the newspapers and televission. Most Americans are too lazy to seek out any independant credible news sources. The sad thing is that Al Jazeera is the best unbiased view they can get of themselves. And that is really sad.

What a limp argument Viv! Essentially what you are advocating is that instead of working to stamp out color prejudice, we should be inciting white prejudice. I feel it should go the opposite way -- that is the alternative I subscribe to.

    You've missed the point.

I found this rather amusing. Mestizos are not indigenous to the region. The Spanish language is not indigenous to the region. I could not possibly care less what color Mexicans are -- purple, black, white as a Swede in January; it makes no difference to me. My last girlfriend was Choctaw and I consider an Indian woman who immigrated from Jaipur to be my second mother; I have nothing against brown people, as you insinuate. The problem is a total lack of respect on the part of Mexicans. They think they are entitled to live and work in America, to have us learn their language, to receive government benefits that my taxes pay for despite not paying taxes themselves, etc. They refuse to assimilate and they refuse to play by the rules. That is what I have an issue with.

You've a lovely penchant for nonsensical ranting, I must say, but you missed the point of the soccer team anecdote entirely.

If such is truly the case, you desperately need to get out more. One's passport does not make his critiques any more or less valid. I would be the first to point out how corrupt the American media is... but of course you'd never realize that, as you're too caught up in an anti-American frenzy to even acknowledge the verity of the positions of those Americans who agree with you! I find that, as you say, totally amazing.

Do you read posts and take information in? You've ignored the facts on policy regarding European football violence, which were clear enough in my post. Now you're trying to change the facts regarding colour prejudice, but people can see what I said on that. Which is, I think it's at a dangerous, potentially volatile stage at the moment and could go either way. Non-whites are gaining some equality at last, but they are still having to fight for it as the Lawrence case showed. The summer riots here arose from a racial incident with the Police. Whether the Police did anything wrong is debatable, but the initial protest stemmed from their handling of the incident where a man died at the hands of the Police.

I support equality and there is still a long way to go, but hope it is well managed and that the reactionary problems you suggest but which I haven't really seen here yet...don't in fact arise.

I think they are unlikely to arise, as the reaction to Diane Abbot's twittery demonstrate people are vigilant and won't accept racism in any direction, anti-white included.

:-D...I think it is you who misses points, as demonstrated above. But feel free to reword your point if it is worth doing so.

Lol...white people are not indigenous to the Continent. English isn't either.
Yes, I'll accept your word that you were not racist against those people, but you don't seem to have much tolerance for Mexicans who are as entitled to migrate into the country for economic reasons just exactly as your predecessors migrated there (assuming you are not native American and probably even then). Are you saying Mexicans pay no tax in US? Is that factual? If not, saying you are not racist in the same paragraph as saying those things, the evidence isn't stacking up in favour Plymouth.

Apologies, I didn't realize this was an in-depth discussion regarding English soccer fans... Perhaps English people are unbehaved at sporting events, perhaps they are not. Your video makes their actions out to be outside of the norm, but I don't know. But that's really a meaningless discussion I'm not interested in having. I don't really care.

Ahem... do you read posts and take information in? I recall hearing that somewhere recently. I never stated that Caucasians or English were native to the Americas. Naturally, they aren't; there's no need to state the obvious.

Your argument was that Mexicans are essentially modern Aztecs or Mayans or some ridiculous sentiment along those lines, and that, as such, they have a right to the Mojave and its surrounds. They aren't, and they don't.

I never said Mexicans should not be allowed to immigrate to America; don't twist my words. Of course they should be able to, but this must, however, be done through legal channels and in accordance with naturalization laws. Mexicans do not have the right to run across the border and seek employment and benefits in the US illegally simply because, at some indefinite point in the past, their neighbor's great uncle's second cousin's brother-in-law trotted up from Veracruz, settled down into a San Francisco mission, and harangued the natives into converting to Catholicism.

As to your second question... no, illegal immigrants do not pay taxes. This should be painfully obvious, as they are illegal and thus not registered with the Fed.

Naturally, your posts are good for nothing but humor... but it is at least humor at its best! How you manage to infer that I am a supporter of plutocracy from my statements that the American media is corrupt, I haven't the slightest clue. It seems as though you haven't even the logical capacity to match that of a "child."

I still would love to know why Americans can't effectively patrol and control their borders .
For God's sake , there is only water on the East and West and , for reasons unfathomed , the Canadians seem happy to let the simple people get away with having a relatively easy job up north .
So , it means that the Yanks are clueless and impotent over one entry line .
Yet these same people claim to have flown to the planets and attacked countries all over the planet . And waste billions every month
It's as though they invite situations , so that they can resort to ignorance and show their involvement in the only way they know how --- bullying and then outright violence .

That is clear. Only your own misguided opinion matters, then?

The fans in the video are not even English :-D

You probably get it a lot.

Apparently there is. And to state the glaringly obvious that every single argument you made against Mexicans can be made against you.

    Really. From Wiki:
Mexicans are indigenous the Americas while others are very definitely not...unless you are American Indian you are less naturally occurring in US than Mexicans.

And once they have done all of the things your predecessors did (I'm sure) they must also support your football team... or what?

They are more indigenous than you.

I didn't mention illegal immigrants. Freudian slip on your part?

It's probably the autocratic English style of posting.

You've caught me -- I didn't watch it. As I stated, I've no interest in British soccer trends.

    Yes, but only from you.

Then, by all means, do make them. I await with bated breath a scathing indictment of all the illegal American immigrants flying across the Rio Grande into Mexico.

No they are not. The vast majority are Spanish-speaking Mestizos (mixed Caucasian and Native American). That isn't indigenous.

As for your wiki quote, it states nothing substantive. The fact of the matter is that there are, roughly, 8 million actually indigenous peoples living in Mexico, out of a population of 113 million. This is of course sizable when compared to the Native American populations of somewhere like Canada or the US, but it is decidedly unsizable in comparison to any other groups' population statistics.

Naturally. Or, at the very least, they oughtn't run about screaming "Viva Mexico" and inciting unrest vis-a-vis supporters of the American soccer team... in an American city.

More indigenous than myself? Surely you're having a go at me, here? This is the sort of racialist sophistry I abhor -- levels of "indigenousness!" Aye!

No slips, Freudian or otherwise. The distinction needs to be made. Legal, taxpaying Mexicans are not the issue. Illegal immigrants are.

I find it amusing that you aim this criticism at me and not Iolo.

    PLYMOUTH...you're not paying attention.:-D

(Ok, that was actually quite funny.)

You deserve it, as you've just admitted.

Been making them for posts now. And they're not even cunningly concealed within a video.

What is a Native American then?:-D They're indigenous and you are disingenuous.

And it's very sizeable in comparison to the white Native American populations...

There is no law against supporting a different football team. And that comes across as somewhat hypocritical considering that almost every US person can tell you his roots, sometimes for generations back and they are all very interested in that and many maintain links to those countries and contribute and assist them wherever possible. I've read that is one reason your country gives so much to charity, because the charities tend to have an emotional association. I'm sure there are more than Mexicans flag waving at the football.

And you can't play football, yez are rubbish and only manage through to the finals because the competition is rigged to give you an easy in. (hahhhh)(but it is though)

Aye you're slating the Mexicans and when it's pointed out you could easily be viewed as having less right to be there than they do, you're being attacked. Away and see to yourself.

So every football supporter who supports Mexico is now officially termed an illegal immigrant by you, but you're not a racist at all? What about Jews who support Israel? Are they all illegal immigrants too?

Good. If you're amused, I suppose that is progress for us.

Oh please, I did not. I simply said that you've more than amply pointed that out that particular view of yours to me before.

Indeed -- they're all cunningly concealed within your head, as they've all somehow failed to make it to the keyboard. :-D

As if you need me to explain that... but just for you, Viv, here goes: the peoples who populated the Americas prior to the European arrivals. Mestizos are not native Americans, as they are heavily mixed Caucasian. Their skin tone (which, if you're being honest, is what you are tacitly basing this judgement on) is irrelevant, as darker pigmentations tend to take precedence in heredity.

    Point being?

It's the principle of the matter. Do you think I'm actually bothered about soccer itself so much? I'm an American; of course not. None of us are. It's the total lack of respect that Mexicans display once they've snuck in here.

So can anyone, more or less. Knowing that my ancestors came from Ireland doesn't mean that it would be proper for me to demand that people speak in Gaelic to me and so on.

That is quite a broad (and nonfactual) statement. We are not all very interested in it; most of us are not interested at all. Yeah, I wear green on St. Patrick's Day and think it is quite cool to see the river in Chicago dyed green. But that means nothing. It's just something people do. Irish pride or heritage is the furthest thing from my mind.

I've never read any such thing. No doubt the reason so much is given is because there are all sorts of evangelicals who think they can jump on an opportunity to extort conversions for aid. I doubt very much that it has anything to do with nostalgia for great-great-great-mammy's homeland. Never mind the fact Europe -- where the vast majority of American immigrants came from -- hasn't had a natural disaster since... when? The Lisbon earthquake some 300-400 years ago? Not too many Haitian or Indonesian immigrants in the States.

You're telling me that I don't have a right to live in my home unmolested by marauding occupiers because said ne'er-do-wells happen to only be, oh say, 75% Caucasian, as opposed to my 100%?

Did I say that? Now, Viv, what did I say about not putting words in my mouth? You, like ray, have missed the whole point of that anecdote.

Yes, if they live in Israel. Jews, like Mexicans, are neither here nor there to me until they decide to steal land that isn't theirs.

Oh, you're always good for a good laugh, Viv.

Now that's funny: Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes in the US. They come and work, get paid but save it all. They do not eat, do not rent, do not have to buy anything. They are quite a cunning lot, them illegals.

You mean illegals, whenever they buy anything inside the US, are exempted to pay sales taxes because they have no papers? Cunning bastards!

Ach, I remember telling a salesman in NYC that I didn't want to pay sales taxes on my jacket because I was a tourist, I will try again as an illegal

Don't be so silly: in the 'States 'tax' means 'those taxes paid only by the reasonably well off'. Other taxes don't count, and the very rich moan that the very poor don't pay as much as they do. Even in simple money terms they are probably lying, but obviously millionaires and people on welfare should pay the same, but for what the former gang's accountants save 'em. Stands to (American) reason - duh!

    :judge::clap:

    I've given up.

On the OP, I hear Ed Miliband, who apparently roasted Diane Abbot for her Twittering, has now made a Twit faux pas himself involving the word "black".:omg: Perhaps he'll now see it as a mistwit...

Illegal aliens send the money back to their families in their homelands, then turn around and use American social welfare benefits.

You are right . We love them only when we thrash them in the game of Kings -- Cricket .
No , I am not going to explain the deep layers of this royal game . It is far too difficult for people of your background .

    As have I.

Might as well not even bother, Albert. They already have their minds made-up without any sincere contemplation (or, in some cases, without any basic knowledge).

You've a very quaint infatuation with the nation that enslaved your forefathers. No doubt Kipling would be very pleased with you.

He makes the fallacious assumption that we would even be interested in his royals flinging their little paddles about. I haven't the slightest idea who planted that vicious notion in his head.
