Lafayette Square Was the Real ‘Insurrection’

On the weekend of May 29-31, 2020, the American left attempted to stage a “color revolution” to force President Donald Trump to resign.

The key components of this revolution were to be the same as those seen in former Soviet republics: a mass protest outside the White House; the backing of reform-minded members of the military, who would undermine the president’s confidence; and the impression of popular support for the revolution, as portrayed by the mainstream media.


The “color” of the revolution, in this case, was black — as in the Black Lives Matter movement, which had erupted onto the streets of the nation in the aftermath of the death of a black man, George Floyd, in the custody of police in Democrat-run Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Trump had nothing to do with Floyd’s death; in fact, he reacted swiftly, askingthe FBI to investigate Floyd’s death immediately. But that did not matter to the left, which seized on the event as a pretext for revolt.

The unrest was partly a reflection of outrage at what happened to Floyd. But it was also an effort by the left to take control of the country….

This is the real insurrection attempt. BLM/Antifa attempted a coup against the President of the United States. They injured many secret service members and caused them to evacuate the first Family. This was as much an attack upon government as anything that happened the following January was.

 

The Resident did the right thing to resist, stand up for law and order, and the rule of law.

 

The rewriting of history gets more desperate by the minute. Trumpers can not and will not accept that their fellow Trump supporters tried to stop Congress certifyng the result of the election. Now they decide to invent an 'insurrection' that didn't actually happen.

Just when you think the retreat from reality has gone as far as it can, they push further.

 

If they wanted to stop certification. They would have used firearms to do so and no one could have stopped them in time. Weird how they were starting an insurrection without firing a shot. Especially when they’re our second amendment advocates.

The reason GOPers don't think it was an insurrection is because the vast majority of them no longer accept election results unless they win. Thus, trying to overturn them illegally can't be wrong.

Oh, and only a right wing American would assume that you need to start shooting to attempt to overthrow an election result or a government.

 

These are the same people who mocked AOC for claiming she was traumatized by the Capitol riot despite not being in the building. Trump has fences & a small army in between him & a crowd that didn't set foot on the WH lawn and suddenly it is an 'insurrection'.

No, he went to the bunker because the secret service was concerned enough about his safety and the potential for a breach that they put him and his wife and child there.

Yet, Congress was not invaded while processing an election certification.

 

And held a rally right down the street from the Capitol at the time of the certification process..

Down the street was 1.5 miles away. No one who was present for all of Trumps speech was at the capitol breech when it started. The breech began while Trump was still speaking and it would take 30-45 minutes to walk from the speech to the capitol building.

 

That they were incompetent does not change what they tried to do.

Insofar as an insurrection goes? No they’re not a threat. Never in the history of man has an insurrection been pulled off by incompetent people. Especially ones who don’t use guns.
