The game has got a really fun and fast paced gameplay.
Good story, although the ending was a bit disappointing.

Too bad there arent more games like it, because it was really creative ;)

I struggle to go back into games, it seems that it is one of the last games that I going to play.

Darkest Dungeon is a good game. Very challenging dungeon crawler, with a design emphasis on the challenge and party mechanics. You get to take up to four heroes in on each crawl. The graphic/art style is also pretty cool.

I would also recommend that any fan of first person shooters consider playing through Marathon and perhaps its two sequels, which are available entirely free in modern, open source ports for Mac, Windows and Linux: https://alephone.lhowon.org/

I would say probably Uncharted 2. I am not a big gamer, so it's been a while for me. :)

    Fantastic game.

Diablo 3. They just released the Necromancer pack so now you can raise the dead and consume corpses, very healthy. :)

I've played some great Mac exclusives, Marathon being one. It had great flight sims on it back in the day as well, thanks to Parsoft. Parsoft finally ported one of their games - A-10 Cuba! - to Windows as well.

Shame it's increasingly a joke now as Apple virtually ignores and neglects it in favor of their iTunes and mobile money machines.

I'm dying for a good game of Asteroids or Pong. Now those were the days!!!

A long time ago, when I was a young buck, I did get heavily into a game called Defender. It was an arcade game at the local hamburger joint and I was da King. My name was on top for years but it cost me a small fortune in quarters. :D

I haven't gotten into modern games so much except for the flight simulators. I love doing things like landing a 777 at an airport for Cessnas; or approaching for a landing on a carrier in a P-38, only to drop my bombs at the last moment and sink the ship! SUCKERS!!!! Mwuaaahahahahahah!!!!!

Listen to this happy music I am listening at 00:00 am on this lonely planet and in this meaningless life with nothing to play and with nothing to do.

Haha, Defender! This guy's good. I started trying to twist the top of my table while watching. It is all still very familiar even 30 years later.

Personally, I found Alan Wake to be very poor in a number of ways. I suppose the story was sort of interesting, but the animations were horrible. It really takes me out of a game when the characters look like mannequins based on stroke victims.

The gameplay wasn't particularly good either, especially since it clearly loved the good old video game trope of having you rely on a flashlight that only works for about 2 seconds before it needs to recharge, and only illuminates an area the size of a squirrel's left testicle. It gave me the impression that the developers didn't think for a second about what made sense in terms of gameplay and just wanted to shoehorn in some random element of "challenge". Remember, kids; frustration is not the same thing as horror!

Maybe you'd like Dying Light, though?

Myself, I'm a big fan of Diablo III. The story is...well, really dumb, but the animations, gameplay, and voice acting I think is stellar. Of course, it gets boring after awhile, but I've noticed my threshold for boredom is really high when it comes to video games.

In terms of strategy games, I've yet to find one that can compete with Empire: Total War. I just love that particular era, and in spite of the many flaws of the game, I think the combat system is really fun, although I think the world map strategy part is about as fun as shaving with a dull razor blade.
