If transgender is a mental disorder, why isn't homosexuality a medical disorder/disease? Purely objectively speaking it is equivalent to being born with maladaptive sex organs that prevent the propagation of a species. In this case the sex organ is part of the brain.

 

Sex organs have always been about the brain since human females do not go into heat a man always has sex on his mind....even though it is through glandular secretions that drive the neurons to give us that woody in the morning feeling that our brains seek to satiate....Rather basic nature..

Homosexuality isn't considered a mental disorder because it does not fit the criteria.

(Mental disorder/illness is a behavioral or mental pattern that causes significant distress or impairment of personal functioning.)

Using contraception prevents the propagation of a species, Not mating prevents propagation of the species. being in love with an opposite sex spouse that is infertile prevents propagation of the species. I wouldn't call any of these mental disorders.

I don't think preventing propagation of the species is a requirement for mental health.
