What i think is irrelevant it matters what Ambassador Sondland said. He was the only material witness so far. All the other testimony was based on irrelevant opinions from people with no knowledge of Trump's motives.

The impeachment inquiry only started recently. Prior to that, there were a few cries for impeachment, but the focus was on other possible crimes, such as obstruction of justice, campaign finance violations, the emoluments clause, possible tax fraud, lying, and stuff like that...I believe you call them "process crimes."

One was to investigate Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election, a conclusion his own administration had already rejected. Seems he was opposing his own government?

 

To investigate corruption in Ukraine including Biden and how he might be involved in rigging the 2016 election.

No...he was asking for two separate investigations...the Crowdstrike Conspiracy theory and the investigation of Joe Biden, in conjunction with Biden's son's presence on the board of a Ukrainian energy company and Biden's threat to withhold earlier aid to Ukraine, if they did not fire the Ukrainian Chief Prosecutor.

 

Yup knowing the truth about both is in the American public interest.
And if you read the transcript of the ofvthe call that is clear.
He isctslking about the American people then he asks if you can do "us" plural a favor, meaning the American people.

If he was asking for a personal favor he would have said do "me," a favor.

Again, and this is what makes it illegal : trump solicited aid from a foreign government to dig up dirt on a specific person to damage his chances of being a serious contender for president. It was a personal bribe using taxpayer funds mandated by congress.

Yes...when he used the word "us," he committed an "abuse of power." His own administration had already debunked the Crowdstrike Conspiracy theory. The Ukrainian government was aware on the same day that their U.S. aid was being withheld without an explanation...other than Trump's investigations request on the tel-con. Trump did not have to say: "Until you investigate, I am withholding your aid." They were being told by others that that was the deal. The White House was working a back-channel opposed to stated U.S. policy in Ukraine.

 

At least we have them on video declaring their intentions, we do not have Trump on video declaring any intentions to withhold Ukraine aid for anything Schiff and Pelosi are claiming

 

I guess it depends on how far up the Obama administration the abuses of FISA, digging up dirt and spying on Trump went.

 

I suppose so, i don't know all of the information Trump was responding to. But yes lots of people in the corrupt Ukrainian regime wanted Hillary to win as evidenced by their very public writings and statements.
