The Bible is very clear on its teaching regarding homosexuality. One very important item from his link The Catholic Church has been known to be wrong, the idea of writing it's teachings in stone is absurd. All of the arguments against homosexual acts are open to interpretation. I find that much of the argument goes back to Genesis and "go forth and be fruitful". For many that means get out there and procreate but I disagree. If a farmer puts too many animals in his pastures or plants his crops too densely he is not being "fruitful" but is in fact being just the opposite. I find that the passages dealing with homosexuality are actually against the act because it can't produce offspring, being "fruitful". If that is the objection then any act that provides sexual gratification without the intent to procreate is a mortal sin. During Biblical times reproduction was very important for the survival of races. Those were some violent times. You even had Moses admonishing his sons for not committing genocide. It is understandable that they'd put a high premium on procreating and would make homosexuality taboo particularly since due to war after war after war there weren't enough men to go around. Why do you think polygamy was OK?
