When the mountain won't come to Mohammad, Mohammad comes to mountain? This sort of surprises me. Graham has been quite critical of Cruz in the past, but it seems he wants Cruz over Trump.

I do not think it's so much that he supports Cruz as it is he doesn't support Trump

Grahamnesty won't be able to subsume Cruz into supporting amnesty like he did Rubio. My guess is that he fears Trump's inability to get elected more than he fears what Cruz will do as President.

And I'm not sure if it really helps Cruz and not Trump.

I think you might be right. I also think the Republican party is concerned about the down-ballot votes for their incumbent candidates, especially ones in the Senate, with the "outsider" attitude of voters. Trump winning the nomination could also mean Republicans lose the Senate.

Yep. Lots of Trump and Cruz supporters are supporters because they are pissed at the establishment Republicans and want to send them a message. Nothing will send a message as quickly as a few of them losing their seats.

LOL! Well, I'm not disputing that, but I do find it interesting that he's backing Cruz now. First he was for himself, then for Jeb!, and now Cruz. I'm not sure he's picking winners or that his endorsement isn't the kiss of death for campaigns. He's 2 for 3 now and only time will tell if he goes 3 for 3.

I agree that the message may be sent, but losing the Senate also may mean losing the Supreme Court. Trump is not guaranteed to win. I'm not convinced he will. Losing the White House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court could mean losing the GOP. However, it may already be a lost cause.

These 'Establishment' Republicans could also choose to become a Trump or a Cruz Republican, and make a new Establishment around that but they're too scared to. Just like they're too scared to debate and confirm,.

The GOPe needed to go a long time ago, and if nothing else let's thank Trump for that.

Little Lindsey had to clutch his pearls and hit the fainting couch after that one.

Clearly, he went with the lesser of his two evils.

It will be interesting to see where Rubio places his bets, though. Don't be surprised if he asks, "Can't I just keep them?"

Lindsey G has been critical of Our.Dear.Leader from the time that Trumpf farted out that despicable insult making fun of john McCain's military service / and being a POW so I am not surprised that Graham went for the Weasel after all the Weasel has more delegates than Kasich. Also the WEASEL has more of a chance to get more delegates than Kasich can. S if the aim to get to a constipated convention he has to go with THE WEASEL.

I see Rubio throwing his support behind Kasich more than Cruz, but you might be right. He might want to keep them.

    "constipated convention" :roflol:
What a wonderful turn of a phrase!

Lindsay loves him some McCain. That's for sure. He's doing what the party wants him to do. I think the establishment GOP would rather lose with Cruz as a candidate than run with Trump.
