To the outsider, it might look like Londonstan, but to the Londoner, it's just another freedom to be had.
    It's called not being French.

I just have to ask this question. Anyone who's been to Poland on a Sunday knows you won't be going anywhere unless it's on foot. What with the numbers of Poles living in London ...... any problems there?

At least they don't have 5 calls to prayer every day amplified to a sqillion decibels by 10-foot high loudspeakers mounted on minarets. We have that 'pleasure' to look forward to, and sooner than we think, too.

    It isn't.

What you see is not what you get. What you see is some people practicing their religion in two separate photos, one purposefully more dense than the other. And therefore you think there is a predominance of Muslims? There isn't.

The Muslim population in the UK is the second-largest - at 4% of the population!

    Wow!!!!!!

And like all of the immigrants, since long-date, when they come they start-out doing the dirty-work that Brits no longer want to do*!

So, unless you want to indulge in the general clean-up of the isle upon which you may live, consider yourself lucky the immigrants are willing to do the ugly-work for you ... !!!

    *Ditto for the USA!

The origins of Christianity and Islam are similar if not identical. Muhammad most certainly was aware of Christianity when he wrote the Koran in the 8th century.

And both religions, in their earliest form, where highly resemblant of one another. Their divergence later during the Crusades when the Catholic kings of Europe created the "Crusades" to recapture the birthplace of Christ (and therefore Christianity). The Crusades lasted about 200 years and ended around the beginning of the 14th century.

The Holy Land had been Musulman thereafter up to the 2nd World War when the Ottoman Empire finally crumbled, and the UN allowed the creation of Israel. It flourished all by itself in its own little corner of the world, that is, the Middle-east. Unfortunately the schism between the two sects, Shiites and Sunnites, has caused not only great dissension, but also internecine wars.

There is a movement afoot to end the differences between the two "clans". Should that work, it is entirely possible that the Middle-east should know once again the peace and economic growth that the Ottomans had brought by their single rule. The Ottomans were of the Sunnite sect (around 87 to 90 % of total Muslims) and the Shiite (10 to 13 %) consisted of most of the rest.

The Sunnites are 1.4 billion people, and the Shiites around 200 million. There is hope that, with ISIS sidelined, that the two religious communities can come to a common accord. ISIS is/was consisted purely of Sunnites.

We shall see because that would bring both peace and prosperity to both ethnicities all across the Middle-east - if they would only come to an agreement to stop killing one another now that ...
