I always thought your Hyper Anti-Canada stance was more comedy than anything else. But after looking at a lot of your posts and seeing what is going on trade wise, I had no idea how much Canada actually takes advantage of a lot of the trade deals we have going with them.

The US "steppe" has more than enough food and dairy to provide for ourselves, I am not sure why we allow Canadian milk and other products to overtake our own home grown "stuffs".

The NAFTA situation is interesting, I am kinda a fence sitter at this point. I am all about free trade with countries, but the deals we have so far seem so one sided against the US that it doesn't seem "free" to me at all.

Canadians are getting tired of Trump bashing them. The U.S. has a trade surplus (goods and services) with Canada, and the type of trade with Canada where raw materials go south and manufactured goods and services go north is exactly what America wants.

As a result of Trump's threats, Canada is looking at a trade deal with China, ratifying the TPP, and implementing a signed free trade agreement with the EU. So, what does Canada have to offer to get these deals? The second largest supply of raw materials in the world behind only Russia. After Trump antagonizes Africa, South America, and Canada, where are we going to get raw materials for our supposedly revived manufacturing sector?

Everyone hates regulations that cut back on their profit and increase ours. I get it. Let's see what else is going on.

What else? There is some fun at the site below. Check it out.

    Anything else?

Hmm, I would think progs would be for more blue collar jobs with decent wages?

I guess I don't know how they feel about it.

Oh, he sure knew what he was talking about....moreso than Trump, anyway, right?

Yeah, I'm worried about losing Canada and Mexico as allies. Yeah....really? That means more to you?

    Well thank you. :blowkiss:

Honestly, I doubt :flagcanada: take over via military action.
It will be more of an economic, cultural hegemony.
Notice I reference most of what I upload, like the most likely persons to overstay their visas.

You don't seem interested in discussing facts. The Canadian dairy tariffs are still in place.

Er, "seems" is the operative word. It indicates you lack the basic knowledge of the dimensions and depth of our economic PARTNERSHIP.

I might also add you are articulating the idiotic trump NAFTA negotiation Bullying us won't get Trump anywhere but if it no deal it will cost 100's of Billions in US business losses and bureaucratic turmoil. It'llbe a giant clustermuck.

I truly believe Trump is so screwed up and ignorant that the believes that he wins by breaking his own leg because he got to break his little brother's arm and leg in return. MORONIC>

All we ask is free and fair trade and we ask Canada not to dump subsidized goods at below cost in America. Bully?

Five Spills, Six Months in Operation: Dakota Access Track Record ...
    The Intercept-Jan 9, 2018

Three leaks occurred at pump stations after the pipeline was fully operational and were isolated to a “concrete work area,” Dillinger said. ETP has denied responsibility for a spill that occurred on March 3 on a feeder line that transports oil from the well where it's extracted to the main Dakota Access Pipeline.

Extortion is an integral part of any modern contract or bill's passage.

Looks Like NAFTA Is Coming To An End

Trump has almost guaranteed economic hardship in America long term so eliminating NAFTA makes sense in context. Even his immigration policy is poised to collapse portions of our agricultural systems and his energy policy is so backward looking we have missed great opportunity. It almost seems that our President and his Secretaries live in an 80's alternate timeline...the United States is unlikely to be powerful in the future barring dramatic change.

So you think illegal immigration is the only way farmers can obtain cheap labor. Did you ever consider a well regulated and legal worker visa program? Too far out of your thought process?

Approving Keystone and Dakota Access and killing NAFTA make no sense.

Yes, I'm neutral on NAFTA. I think a fair argument can be made that it was not such a good idea after all. No tears here if they repeal it.
