Keep trying. The fact is machine guns manufactured after 1986 are banned.

where did you respond "modern machine guns LOL"
You just can't keep moving the goal posts and keep claiming BM nuts like yourself are correct. It makes you look silly, eh?

Fact is, that was not your original claim and rather than admit you were wrong, you move the goalposts.
Why do you refuse to admit you were wrong?

It is irrelevant that I left out the word current or manufactured after 1986. The fact is that most machine guns are banned. If it makes you feel better that some collectors can still buy old guns that is OK by me but the fact is there is a ban on most machine guns which means that the average idiot that rants about gun banners has conceded that some guns need banning. Don't see the NRA actively campaigning to eliminate the ban on modern machine guns, do you.

And then there is the requirement for shotguns which could be considered another ban.

Yes, it is relevant, as it changes the specifics of your claim completely.
You know this, of course - you're just trying to find another excuse to not have to admit you were wrong.
Why do you refuse to admit you were wrong, when you clearly know you were?
You cannot show this to be true.
Short-barrel shotguns are not banned, in any way.

    HuffPo thinks that they are.

"The National Rifle Association hereby declares that the highest priority is being assigned to the restoration of the rights of automatic firearm owners, and the NRA will work with other organizations to that end. The NRA makes the commitment to all members that it will actively work toward the repeal of the recent machine gun ban and will take all necessary steps to educate the pubic on the sporting uses and legal ownership of automatic firearms."

Yes. In exactly the same way Obama openly stated he wants to ban guns.

Your claim was wrong, and you know it. Move the goalposts some more.

Except that they are actively working to overturn the Hughes Amendment, and you said that they weren't.

You know nothing about Machine Guns.
There are all types of Modern Machine Guns available.

There is no Ban on most Machine Guns.

Restricted or Registered Machine Gun parts, can be legally upgraded to any recent day type.

Shotguns are only subject to an NFA Tax of
$ 200 if they are in a Class lll category.
Excluding the non NFA shorter models.

Glad to see you agree that there is a machine gun ban. Of course the NRA opposes such a logical stand but what evidence of an active program to overturn the law are you aware of. Any bill currently in Congress?

And by the way when the NRA says " it will actively work to overturn the ban on modern machine guns" that use of the word "will" implies an action sometime in the future no a current activity.

So Obama didn't want to ban guns? Good to hear someone on this forum finally admit the truth.

Obama flatly stated he would ban guns if he could. Fortunately he knew he didn't have the votes for it. That didn't stop him from trying though...

You can take a Registered / Transferable Auto Sear, and build it into a modern Machine Gun.

Machine Guns have not changed all that much since 1986 in any case.
Machine Gubs can indeed be legally upgraded.

Sorry but that just doesn't cut it. You cannot buy a modern machine gun, period. Modifying anpre 1986 gun doesn't make it of modern manufacture

The only thing not made in 2017 would be the registered serial numbered auto sear.

Since you know absolutely nothing about Machine Guns, stop arguing.
    You simply are wrong.

Yes but I do know the definition of modern which apparently you do not.

And am still waiting for your promised list of where I can buy a machine gun made after 1986.

None of this changes the fact you were proven wrong, and, rather than admit it, move the goalposts.

Too bad your original claim - the one you refuse to admit was wrong - mentioned none of this.
