Looks like the U.K. will never be able to have freedom of gun ownership now

I never promised you a list.

1986 model Machine Guns are indeed modern.

New Machine Guns can be made using a Transferable Autosear.

You are wrong on all of your statements.

    Sore loser ?

    All his claims were wrong.
An expert on Machine Guns that has never fired one.
    He must Google his information.

Sure just tell me where I can buy a modern manufactured machine gun. But you are right I have never fired a machine gun but then of course only a fool would think firing a gun makes one an expert.

Yes, well I had a firearms manufacturers license and shop, so my expertise is not in question.

You were already told how and where, you buy a transferable autosear and place it into a new Gun, do you not undestand plain English ????

Too bad your knowledge does not match your speech.

Didn't question your knowledge of guns just your ability to comprehend the English language. Just because you can almost update something old doesn't make it modern.

I am curious how you apply the term modern. To an older design or older manufacture.

Since you clearly are uninterested in engaging in an honest conversation, there's no need to waste more time on you.

The general duties POLICE in the UK don't even have guns. So I somehow doubt that citizens will be allowed them.

So long as the UK remains dedicated to the suppression of civil liberties by the state I suspect you are correct.

Most of the murders from the US come from states and cities with gun laws similar to Europe.

And in UK murders are concentrated in some ghettos like in the U.S
If we have a model to take, it would be Austria, Iceland or Japan which seems more efficient than the US to manage. Even China ruled unefficiently by communism have a lower murder rate than both US and UK.

Do you honestly believe anything that the nation of China has to say about its current state?

I don't trust the chinese governement, but it's not the only officials I don't trust ! However, if i heard a lot about China corruption, dictatorship or pollution, I never heard they are cheating on murder rate.
A murder rate of 1 per/100 000 inhabitant is not unbelievable ! At the size of china it means around 13 000 murders per year. To have a higher rate murder than UK, they should erase at least 3000 murder case from their list.
For having a higher rate murder than USA, they should erase arond 40 000 murder rate from their list.

Anyway, a lot of countries we can trust manage to have better murder rate : Austria and Norway succeeded to have a murder rate of 0,7 murders per 100 000 inhabitant. It means that "only" 7 people on 1 million people get assassinated each years ! The champions are Japan with 0,4 per 100 000 inhabitant (but a stratospheric suicide rate) and Island with 0,3/ 100 000 inhabitant. Japan and Norway are the largely populated country with the less murders.

Despite that 1/3 of Swiss have firearms, they have really good homicide rate too but as far as I know, ghettos almost don't exist in Switzerland. Richness is still the most determinant influence on homicide rate but not the only one, some poor countries like Tunisia manage to have much less murder than rich countries like USA, Finland or South Korea.

However Island is a really small country, with only a total of 300 000 inhabitants. Monaco even reached to have 0 murders, but they're only 37 000 people.

Well either way, the first step will have to be to give police some guns!
It would be a farcical situation if citizens have the right to bear arms but the majority of police don't! You Americans must laugh at unarmed police.

As Retired LE, I do not "laugh" at LE in other Countries, especially well established Police Agencies, England has special Armed Police response units.

In general it is felt that Armed Police would have a deliterious effect on the General public.
Here in the U.S. a sidearm is a symbol of a Police Officers Authority.

    No.
    I still carry a sidearm.
England / U.K. has a different take on Armed Police.

Mate, we don't have guns because its not really a part of our culture or history.
You stay home and shoot black people and worry less about whats happening in lands far far away.

    Fists, yes.....cricket bat.....absolutely.

A gun? Na mate, thats a bit too much like an Xbox game.

Then again, from the ground up, we feel differently about guns and what they represent.

Americans seems to see guns as an integral part of the freedom you guys keep banging on about.

We see it differently - Vive la difference!! :0)
