It's to over the top. Why? Is he trying to convince Merkel he's a big boy? He has talked hard before and since it serves no purpose? I can only logically conclude he's insecure.

Does RT and especially Sputnik twist things sometimes? Yes and it annoys me when more often than not they don't even need too. The facts of their stories are often did little justice by their flamboyant unethical writing styles. But sometimes those media sources provide facts and sources that can not be attained by the Western MSM. Just ignore the bias.

Basically Macron is an idiot for all this braggadochio and Putin sees right through it. He is way way out of his league trying to deal with Putin. I think he's intimidated. He should be.

I'm french and don't like Macron, but that the first time since Chirac we had a president who were brave enough to get his opinions. If he hold his own against Merkel, I will really respect him.

Even if it's rather ironic, most french medias are either owned by billionaires which are friends of Macron or by the state. Their is a few indenpendant press in France, even almost none in fact.

 

Of course Putin was ambitious to be in the KBG by the time he was 15.. but I like Macron..

That's the problem of french people, they await a new Charles de Gaulle. Charles de Gaulle was exceptional because he was forged in the horrors of WW1 and proved that he was worthy during WW2 when so many accepted the victory of the nazis and he didn't.
That's madness to await salvation from a man who is dead and will not come back, and we have to as citizen take our destiny in hand without waiting for a savior who will not come.

For the moment, Macron is not the worst, he don't say too much idiocies, and is preparing an anti corruption law that France needed, but their is still very important elections incoming, the "legislative", the election of the members of the "national assembly" roughly the equivalent of the house of commons. I would not take the example of the american senate because like the british we have two assemblies, and the french senate is roughly the equivalent of the house of lords of UK.

I do not know why he should be liked. He popped up from basically nowhere- he had no party, no real background, and, in fact, no reasonable programm for France. With all this in mind to be a President of France at this age - it is a joke. Napoleon, who became an Imperator of France at 35 was already a very well known general. And who is Macron?
