But because the brain cannot tell it to shut down, since it has been destroyed, those centers usually go bankrupt. And it is only after these centers become bankrupt that the person can have any possibility of 'sleep'. do you actually believe that a body of the person who is having parts of their brain 'cut out' and 'literally killed' will be able to 'sleep'?
