 to do so but, just don't "feel it".

China's proper response is their military.
Declare a curfew and shoot anyone on the streets after curfew.
    And other such draconian actions.

Time for Peking to stop pu**y footing and Tienanmen Square them.

What Western nation would tolerate the disorder in Hong Kong for as
long as China has with such minimal use of military force?
    Remember Kent State.
    Chicago '68
    Waco, etc.

The CPC's proper moral response would be to apologize to the world for being azsholes, renounce all authority, call for a constitutional convention, and create a country dedicated to principles of liberty. Not happening, I know, but neither is the CPC slaughtering Hong Kong's best and brightest to save Xi Jinping's face--it would be broadcast live, and the backlash would be historical.

The CPC will have to back down or slaughter, they will not slaughter, not because they are moral, but because they are cowardly bastards who know they can't get away with it.

No, Trump isn't going to push the Hong Kong issue, in fact, I doubt he cares much about it, but it does provide cover for the policies he wants to pursue anyway towards China, while China apologists like Biden are put on the defensive. It creates a good environment to challenge Democrats who want to roll back on the trade war.

It definitely is interesting that people of Hong Kong are asking Trump for his help. And that’s after liberal media consistently tells us that Trump is a racist and a white supremacist. And according to them Trump destroyed US image abroad and now no people of foreign countries think good of the USA.

Yeah, we've all seen how well that's worked out for the world and for America. One disaster after another, costing us trillions, killing hundreds of thousands of people, destabilizing the world, and accomplishing nothing. Yet despite decades of this massive failure, you're still shilling for more imperialism, more intervention, more bellicosity. One has to wonder what your real motivations are, because they clearly have nothing to do with a love for America or for freedom.

And to think, you used to be Putin's biggest fan! What happened? Did he cut your wages or something?

They'd be asking the president for help regardless. Foreigners are ALWAYS asking Americans to commit our blood and treasure towards causes that have absolutely nothing to do with the common defense of the United States. Unfortunately, there are no shortage of quislings and fifth columnists who are more than willing to rob Americans on behalf of these quixotic foreign movements. Just add another $100 billion in debt to the US credit card this month. The American taxpayer is good for it!

Feel free to buy a plane ticket to Hong Kong and join the protesters. The only thing that can stop you from contributing to this great cause is your own lack of sincerity.

Trump is an idiot who started an unwinnable trade war with one our largest trading partners and creditors based on economic illiteracy.

Is there anything more annoying than self-righteous keyboard warriors running their mouths from behind the safety of a computer screen?

How much do you want to bet that the ones most in favor of US intervention in Hong Kong or Ukraine or Syria or Afghanistan or Venezuela or Iran are just chickenhawks who would never actually fight for the causes in which they claim to believe so deeply?

There are few things more degenerate and cowardly than someone who calls for a war that they refuse to fight in themselves. Yet that is exactly the kind of people who hold power in the US.

I hope he keeps it up. The US needs to economically disengage from China.

Why? So we can pay $5,000 for a new I-Phone? So that American businesses can lose out on hundreds of billions of dollars worth of exports into the largest consumer market in the world? So we can have more needless conflict and tension with a nuclear power that has the largest army in history? Sounds great!

China is an economic powerhouse. Nothing will stop their ascent. The US should be fostering good relations and increasing our economic cooperation. Instead, Trump has sold a false narrative based on the nonexistent victimization of Americans by China, as if selling people products that they want at a price they're willing to pay is a form of exploitation. And don't get me started on the utterly asinine "intellectual property" canard. That is nothing more than corporate propaganda meant to protect their own unjustifiable profit margins. US intellectual property laws are an absolute farce that don't even remotely resemble their original intent. IP laws in the US are used primarily by large corporations is to stifle competition and innovation. It has nothing to do with protecting and promoting legitimate property rights.

The people of Hong Kong want our help defending their freedom, something we have and too often take for granted, against Chinese authoritarian Communist rule, and you're convinced that we're the bad guys.

    Obama?

And here's something else to consider, if this was in mainland China, China would have quashed those Hong Kong protests like Tianmen Square.

"Why? So we can pay $5,000 for a new I-Phone?"

You must be Libertarian, because that statement encapsulates Libertarianism to a tee.

The Chinese are an adversary nation that is intent on displacing us on the world stage. They are a communist dictatorship that we've helped raise to a threat. By allowing them to steal technology and other kinds of intellectual property. Since they can't play fair on the world stage we shouldn't have anything to do with them.

Whatever I am, coward or hero, rogue or saint, blowhard or proselytizer, Don Quixote or Davey Crocket, the CPC is threatening slaughter and enslavement.

China is our biggest economic and military threat, we shouldn't have any trade with them. They steal our tech and put backdoors in our electronics all the while they commit cyber attacks on us. Our credit with them is more of a problem for them then us.
