Maybe the "Trump riot" today was a good thing in the long run.

I underestimated the pro Trump nuts and I'm prepared to admit that many of his supporters would indeed qualify as a "cult'. I for one would never have bet more than a few hundred, maybe a thousand at most would pull off a stunt like today.

but they did and now we've got to move beyond it. Perhaps it is a good thing in the long run. I can think of nothing more likely to completely discredit Donald Trump and encourage the GOP to move on from him as fast as possible.

It's wrong but it's still does not even come close to what the other side has been doing.

Assuming that the proper examples are made. Trump supporters who broke into the Capitol need to be prosecuted for insurrection and do hard time.

Donald Trump needs to be prosecuted for insurrection.

    Enough is enough.

I don't see either as happening. Both would be seen as adding fuel to the fire. And that one Trump supporter (the woman) did die after being shot. So it's not as though none of them suffered.

I believe Trump said 'go to the capital and protest'.

Those that went beyond that, are responsible for their own actions. Just as the the rioters, looters and burners of the recent events are responsible for their own actions.

Stupidity comes in all sizes and shapes.

it definitely puts the final nail in Trump’s Stolen Election drive. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just don’t even bother with the ceremonial objections at this point.

I hope the first one arrested is the fat guy with the pony tail that has the hammer and sickle tattoo on his hand. If I had a nickel for every MAGA supporter with a communist tattoo......

Who was the guy sitting in Pelosi's office with his feet propped up? I thought Pelosi had security. Hasn't she always made a big deal about being third in line to the presidency?

I don't know who he was. I don't find it odd at all though that one of the most guarded buildings in the country, on a day when every member of Congress was in it, was 'overrun' by 15 unarmed people....
