Personally the whole Flip or Flop fiasco on HGTV has me disgusted to the point I cannot wait for the new DYI network with Chip and Joanna Gaines. Christina is a no talent biatch who cheated on her husband and destroyed her own family...she should be eliminated from Television for all time. …..Next rant please......
After I began to understand what happened with my marriage and began to review my life, more and more I became aware of the vilification of men. Ironically, the first thing to catch my attention in the media were sitcoms from the 80s and 90s. In particular, The Golden Girls, and Everyone Loves Raymond. I liked both of those shows. But suddenly the portrayal of men hit me like a Mack truck. The men are generally portrayed as idiots, and or the personification of the most pedestrian stereotypes, and or bad people, or clowns. In one episode of The Golden Girls, they actually made the man a clown. Back when it all first aired, I didn't see it. But it was part of a decades long brainwashing of both men and women. It made fools and aholes of men, constantly. And sure enough, you could see it abundantly in the attitudes of women. It helped to create two generations of women who see themselves as superior, perpetual victims, and sought to demean men for being men. It became a paradigm in its own right. Here is an easy place to spot it. How many commercials have women showing men the light? How often do men show up the women? Women are almost always portrayed as having to help the stupid men. Here's one I just saw
I am offended by the high level of delusional stupidity any time I watch the news on State Telly or read a column in any major newspaper.
I really don't find much offensive. I find a lot unwatchable, but my solution is not to watch it. It's not like the old days when you had little choice in what came on the networks.
