its so basic, what don't you understand? Medicare could be turned capitalist tomorrow with freely published prices, and rising copays

I assumed others could read too. That's why I posted a link.

Patients have the option to pay for health care now and in some cases the government is paying now. How is your plan any different other than putting millions more on the dole?

    Well that I agree with.

Establishing price information and possibly profit margins would be the only thing I'd support the government getting involved in.

I look at that the same way I do when the government stops price gouging during hurricanes, for example.

When a pill is literally life or death, people will take advantage of that, and are.

everyone gets health care now but it is not subject to capitalistic price and quality controls. With freely published prices and rising copays you have capitialism

Socialism hasn't worked anywhere, ever and it isn't because Democrats haven't had their chance at it. The USSR failed, Venezuela is a basket case, Cuba is a disaster.

Well you have to address the monopolistic component as well.

    Something that Obamacare made worse.

and do you agree best way to get rid of our single payer bureaucracies is to merge them into medicare for all and then switch the whole mess to capitalism with published price competition and rising copays?

No, because if Democrats get single payer health care, they're not giving it up.

I mean it'll collapse on it's own, but not before it kills and or bankrupts a lot of us.

there is no monopoly with each provider publishing his own prices and customers shopping with, increasingly, their own money

they already have it!! and already want to switch it to medicare for all, then you just convince them to allow published prices and raise copays as prices come down by 75%. That's a very easy lift compared to anything else

OK, I'll take your bait. Obviously we both know I am posting the article because I feel it is saying Medicare For All is not feasible due to costs. We also both know that you don't agree with it. So now you can tell me why the article is wrong.

Maybe we can use the VA as an example of great government sponsored healthcare. Do you want that same "quality" for everyone.
Can you provide your information on how this will work? Do you have links to any professional articles which actually explain in detail how this plan will be implemented and how it will function to the benefit of all Americans? How is this not going to cost tax paying Americans more?

we want to first copy the world's single payer system to save 75% on price for same quality, and then switch to capitalism to improve price and quality much further . Now do you understand?

when prices are published and people are shopping with their own money you have the essential elements of capitalism. Do you understand?

we already pay 75% more, switching to a efficient single payer system from our inefficent single payer system(s) would save the 75%, and then the switch to capitalism would save still more, and improve quality.

    I understand... you "want" something
You have yet to explain in detail how you plan to get what you want.

well, for example, when people shop with their own money(rising copays) they are more careful than when shopping with other people's money; this makes price come down
