Thinking government can do manage health insurance more efficiently than the private sector is naive. Look at the USPS, UPS, and Federal Express. The private sector always outperforms the public sector.

Medicare will run huge deficits and taxpayers will get hammered. Current Medicare expenses are 100x what they predicted when the program began in 1965. It'll be a cluster and there will be rationing. If you're over 65 and you get cancer, they'll give you some aspirin and tell you to go home and be comfortable.

But we know that every single first world nation with single payer gets better care for a fraction of what we pay.

Single payer is CHEAPER than our current system. We would save tens of billions per year.

 

Can you name a single modern economy that the government has collapsed due to national healthcare.

I’m pretty sure we are the only first world nation without one which is why we pay more and get less.
