Medicare report from Boise, ID vs what I had in CA

I am still searching for a medicare doctor in my area. In CA I had one prior to Obama care and that poor doctor took it up his shorts to serve we on Medicare.

I have used medicare sources here. So far, I struck out. Doctors here are too smart to use the obama care rope a dope system. If it is so good, why can't using my Medicare card find a doctor easily?

Medicare existed long before Obamacare. Plus, I find it extremely hard to believe that you can't find a Medicare physician in Boise.

 

Many physicians cannot afford to take medicare, pay overhead, and eat, too. Three physicians we know have retired early to get out of the unfair game. Their investments early in their career can keep them in shoes, socks, and electricity at home, keep them going.

 

Maybe you need to hold that card higher in the air so they can see it.

In this state, just Medicare. Also, I said Boise report, but mean to say somewhere in the Boise area, but not in Boise.

 

I am a new resident though not specifically inside of Boise. But a few miles west of there.

Chances are that the doctors you're inquiring about have their quota of Medicare-only patients.

 

That is a taste of the Federal system of health care.

You should recall that one of the first things in Obama care was a cut in medicare reimbursement rates. That pushed a hell of a lot of doctors in smaller towns and cities out of medicare as their client base simply wasn't large enough to absorb the losses. Even before there were always signs even in larger cities on the doors of doctors offices with the legend we can't take any new medicare or medicaid patients at this time.

 

What "Obamacare system" are you referring to? Obamacare isn't a health care system. Obamacare was a regulatory overhaul and expansion of coverage of the current private insurance run healthcare system.

That is correct. Federal ran programs are not the answer.

 

Oh, and Robert - you might want to look up who voted against Medicare expansion in Idaho before you start looking for who is to blame ... just say'n.

 

But it is not expansion I speak of, it is availability.

You know, the medical insurance Program Obama is given credit for solving? Why didn't he solve it?

 

You much more likely to find coverage now than if Obamacare had not been passed.
