Memphis Police Have a Plan in Place to Help Prevent Accidental Shootings

'According to Fox 13, Memphis has had more accidental shootings involving children than any other city in the country. And, after this tragic weekend, Memphis police have decided to do something about it.

hmmm.... Memphis why do I doubt they are getting the right audience? Still, a good program.

It would appear that the message of law enforcement officers is education, rather than prohibition.

 

Because, unlike anti-gun liberals, the police here seek -actual- solutions.

If you drive around Memphis you'll figure pretty quickly why this happens and why no educational program will help one iota.

 

The educational program seems to focus on teaching the children, not the responsible gun owners

what in the world does that mean?...the evil NRA has taught gun safety to kids for years , but every now and then some self righteous guntrol advocate has a hissy and demands they stop because gun are bad...that may be...but they are very real and being ignorant is dangerous

 

You have incidental "sock drawer" gun owners, these keep guns in accessable areas and a child gets control of it.

Real ( or serious) Gun owners usually purchase a safe to keep their Gun(s) out of unauthorized hands and to prevent theft by Burglars.
