    In UK so far. Here.

Image is informative, yet of poor quality.

Is this based upon self reporting, or actual verified discrimination? One can feel they are discriminated even when they are not. For example, a woman can actually have the better qualifications based upon what the employee wants, but the man might feel that she doesn't and is thus discriminated against based upon gender.

    1) It is based on self-reporting.

    2) I do not know if men are discriminated in workplace. Maybe pay gap exists.

    3) Male offenders suffer enormous discrimination -- 63% longer time for the same crime. Much more likely to be convicted on less evidence. Male DV victims are more likely to be arrested then helped.

    4) Given 3), it is important development that not just a few crazy MRAs, but millions of men understand that men are discriminated against.

I don't deny that over all men do have discrimination in certain area, as a group. The work place usually isn't one of them. Women often see more discrimination there. BUt yeah, in other areas, men are discriminated against. Look at male victim rape, especially if the rapist is a woman. Instant dismissal for the most part.

I agree 100%. Top men are privileged by their gender. Men of the lowest strata of Society suffer severe discrimination for their gender.

I wouldn't even put it that way. Top women are privilaged by being top women as are top men. When you eliminate the other factors (such as upper or lower strata), then men are more discriminated in some areas, and women are more discriminated in others.

There are studies out there that suggest men and women in conversations don’t report time spoken equally. If a women speaks 25% of the time more or less men will report that as being equal to men. However if a man dominates a conversation, men won’t report that as being male dominated. A similar effect to here perhaps?

Unfortunately discrimination against men is both real and severe.

Worst: Men are seen as oppressors and enemies by many people and media sources.

    1. Men accused of Sexual Misconduct are presumed guilty by the Media, College Tribunals, HR.

    2. Male victims of DV are rarely helped and frequently arrested.

    3. Male offenders get 63% more prison time for the same crime. Men are far more likely to be convicted on less evidence.

And the sad part is? It's not because they're acting like men. It's because they're acting like woman. The same reason why women aren't heard is the same reason that men go to jail for longer sentences than men. It's sexism more or less.

Someone has to... Men will and women dont. If you worry about gender discrimination, the sewer is where you can work worry-free!

My point was that men will work in the sewer and women dont. If you worry about gender discrimination, the sewer is where you can work worry-free!

Men do not have to work in sewers to avoid discrimination.

This is like suggesting certain occupations to women who want to earn high wages.

Of course they dont have to. But its an option.

A lot of women could earn higher wages if they worked in the sewer. But they dont fsr...

There are other occupations only for women earning much higher wages. Like $500-$1000 per hour.

    Is it a rhetorical question?

Nope. I can think of a few things women are likely to get paid more for simply because of what women are typically better at and/or because theres more demand for women in that industry than men, but I can't think of anything thats 'only for women'.

Many claim that industry in question exploits women -- thus I am not suggesting.

But being a sewer worker, a coal miner, and many other dangerous trades are as bad for men.

    What 'industry in question'?

    I may have missed something...
