I missed this until recently - too focussed on the places where women’s rights are being eroded. Good on them! Apparently Mexico is becoming very progressive when it comes to women’s rights But meanwhile who wants to put money on there being an upcoming and thriving medical tourist industry between Texas and Mexico I mean that is what happened in Ireland women just hopped the ferry over to England and no one was the wiser.
Ya, I saw this a few days ago....Mexico, so much more progressive than the US. They have LOTS of female politicians, more than the US...so that helped. And, yes, Texas women have a short hop to a nice "vacation" .... I bet righties do NOT care how many Mexican fetuses are aborted
I gather not a long drive from Austin Texas. As I said earlier women will just take short “vacations” which that Texas law was supposed to stop by offering the “riches for snitches” but from everything I have heard that section of the law will not stand
from what I am hearing is they never planned for it to pass, they were shocked the SC ignored it and did not hear the case republicans do not want to end abortion, they just want to pretend they want to in order to keep the fight going so they get the votes of evangelicals
Absolutely- sadly like cases elsewhere it will have to take the death of a woman to get this overturned
Mexico voted in a Socialist President. But I suspect progressives in the US won't be permanently relocating to Mexico any time soon.
The ruling only applies to abortions before 12 weeks. Would you like Australia and US law to be more like how it is in Mexico now? Bloomberg reports "The precedent set will prevent courts all around the country from prosecuting women accused of voluntarily ending a pregnancy before three months of gestation."
It seems so in America but I do think this is because you have had a decades long desensitisation campaign in relation to gun deaths
