Migrants in Tijuana feel squeeze from both sides of U.S. border

If Mexican leaders were smart, they would sue the organizers of the march for damages.

If the migrants were smart, they would also sue the organizers for misleading them into believing they could get asylum easily. Now they are stuck in Tijuana with no more money to return home.

 

Saw a story yesterday where the residents of TJ were throwing rocks at the horde and telling them to go home.

Seriously, Mexico is probably the most racist and xenophobic country in the Americas and libs will never admit it.

 

Tijuana Mayor Denounces ‘Horde’ Of Caravan Migrants, Calls For Swift Deportation....

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum said Thursday that caravan migrants arriving by the hundreds are no longer welcome, an increasingly common sentiment among residents of the Mexican border city.

Gastelum described the caravan of Central American migrants as a “horde” that has been infiltrated by criminals who now threaten the community, in an interview with Milenio Television.


“Tijuana is a city of immigrants, but we don’t want them in this way,” the mayor, a member of the conservative National Action Party, said. “It was different with the Haitians, they carried papers, they were in order. It wasn’t a horde, pardon the expression.”


Gastelum called on the Mexican government to deport the caravan migrants as soon as possible.


“You’re going to tell me we have to respect human rights,” he said. “But human rights are for law-abiding humans.”


The mayor’s comments reflected anger among many Tijuana residents at the increasing number of caravan migrants who have been streaming into the city since last weekend. About 3,000 were there as of Thursday night, and thousands more are expected to arrive over the coming weeks.

I agree with the Mayor...the caravan is comprised of individuals illegally in their country. He has every right to have them deported. Especially if they are exhibiting violence.

As for your expectation that the left moan about his racism...you have created a stance for the left on immigration...that we all want illegals in the country so they can vote for Dems. Please don't expect everyone to live up to your manufactured stance for the left on immigration

Tijuana's mayor is right, just as Trump is right and Republicans are right. It's not an issue of "racism", hating "brown people", or staging "political stunts", it is an issue of laws and common sense.

 

Remember Libby, New Democratic Party followers are claiming the "caravan" doesn't exist, and it was just an election ploy.

As such, comment is likely going to be limited.....

 

Only a few of the leftness hasn't figure out that is exactly what the Demos want. As they know they are losing their dominance over Blacks. Got to restock the plantation and Arabs are to much a risk for them.

Many of the nearly 3,000 Central American migrants who have reached the Mexican border with California via caravan said they do not feel welcome in the city of Tijuana, where hundreds more migrants are headed after more than a month on the road.


The vast majority were camped at an outdoor sports complex, sleeping on a dirt baseball field and under bleachers with a view of the steel walls topped by barbed wire at the newly reinforced U.S.-Mexico border. The city opened the complex after other shelters were filled to capacity. Church groups provided portable showers, bathrooms and sinks. The federal government estimates the migrant crowd in Tijuana could soon swell to 10,000.

Supposedly the Mexicans are from Spaniards and Injuns so that is a mix of two races(supposedly)and now most scientist are saying that the DNA and chromosomes differences in the (ex) races is not more than .017% then they claim there are no races, just humans...Which means we will have to change the name of the "human race" when introducing ourselves to new space aliens species...

Given the fact they allowed them into their country, didn't use their military to stop them, ticket, fine, or throw those in jail giving them rides and watched others on the news aiding and abetting, it's THEIR problem.

The US OWES THEM NOTHING and should not pay anything for this problem. The tougher it is on Mexico, the less likely they'll allow future caravans to come.
