Please note: This is very fresh and ongoing in moment... Examples for sources ... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/02/26/indian-planes-bomb-pakistan-kashmir-tensions-escalate/ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-47366718 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-47383634 What happened and happens? The Kashmir region of northern India has been a point of contention between India and Pakistan for decades ... and there are always smaller military battles between the two since then on regualr base. Now the fight has broken out again! India has bombed alleged or actual terrorist camps inside Pakistan with its Air Force ... Pakistan has now shot down one or more Indian jets and probably also captured a pilot. Also here and there on the ground an artillery duel is delivered, in which there are also dead and injured. It has not been that intense for a very long time. And since both countries are armed with nuclear weapons, you have to look at the matter with a little more care and attention ... because if it comes to a real war, then it will be really evil! Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Venezuela, Ukraine are only childish quarrels then ...
Not that I have any sympathy or mercy with any Islamist / jihadist scum ... but as the term terrorist has now been so thoroughly abused and raped in the world, the legitimate question is whether they are truly jihadist terrorists scum or heroic Muslim freedom fighters?
Quite possible for all the people for whom the USA / NATO, the EU and generally the so-called West are responsible for everything and all, they are also guilty here as always.
Both have nuclear weapons. Shouldve been disarmed. Very dangerous. Instead the focus is on a phantom nuke program in Iran.
Why do you think the US has stayed in Pakistan so long? Tell us all exactly what theUS should have done about those nukes, given the general attitude (exemplified by yours) in the Mideast. This is a perfect example of a sphere of influence that does not naturally, IMO, belong to the US. If the Pakistanis and Indians can't figure it out now they'd better learn how soon. Otherwise the Chinese will, IMO, figure it out for them. The Chinese seem, to me, be interested in the water resources in that region, and I therefore doubt they will put up with any warfare that would taint those waters with radioactivity.
Correct ... and the interesting thing is that when both were on path to arm theirself with the atomic bomb, no one oppose them like it is done against Iran, North Korea or even Saddam Hussain once by the USA and all others!
Here I am! A person would have to be an idiot not to suspect Washington's hand in this. After all it already has 68 notches on its belt for regime changes and I'm sure blood was shed in them. How could it be otherwise, I mean we have no aversion to seeing others kill one another off now do we? Screaming corruption in India didn't work, Modi is still in power, so Kashmir is Washington's only bet since terrorism and skirmishes are rampant. Think about it, two birds could be killed with one stone. Okay so what's wrong with a nuclear war? The question now is, why would Washington do that? Here are a few guesses: India 1 - Ditched petro dollar in oil trade with Iran to circumvent sanctions. 2 - Gave permission to Iranian bank to open branch. 3 - Increased import of crude oil from Venezuela. 4 - Avoids dollar transactions. 5 - A $5 billion S-400 deal with Russia. 6 - Transacts with UAE in local currencies. 7 - Transacts with Russia in local currencies. Pakistan 1 - Ordered advanced warships from China worth $348 million. (I'm only speculating of course, but taking into account our past experiences, it's not far fetched and well within our 'moral' short comings.)
Seems like Lavrov is going to have his work cut out for him once again, as he tries to establish some kind of peace and agreements between the warring nations. Anyway India has too many plans for its future with its economy booming for Modi to risk it, but the Indian people are clamoring for actions - after all they're the ones being killed. As for Pakistan, well they are Islamists and militant ones as well - thus the terrorism. The belief is that any land Muslims have lived on is holy land, and therefore must return to Islam. Let's see if China and Russia can contain them.
I love the anti-American crowd because they actual create more US supporters with their outlandish claims. See above
kashmiris were hindus till the 17th century when mughal emperors forcibly converted them to islam . until the late 1980s kashmiris did not have a problem living in india and kashmir was famous tourist destination known as switzerland of asia because of its fabulous lakes in the midst of forests of chinar trees growing on snowcapped mountains . but when the afghan war ended in the late eighties the pakistanis pushed the now-out-of-work jehadis to kashmir and thus stoked the militancy . formerly unveiled kashmiri women were forced into the veil and radical teachings began to be taught in religious schools known as madrasas . the hindus among the kashmiris were pushed out of kashmir by mass raping their women . only misinformed people would call such people heroic .
I suggest mods merge those two threads. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ets-carried-out-air-strikes-in-kashmir.551598 Not to worry, herr Mandelus is a well known Islamic apologist.
Knowing the expansionism of Islam's religious/political beliefs I tend to agree with you - especially with nations that are culturally militant like Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. Since Hindus are not people of the book like Christians and Jews, there is nothing to hold back the jihadists from committing mass atrocities. The Saudi Prince said that Wahabism was encouraged by the West. Did we do that in Afghanistan during its war with the Soviet Union? One has to wonder, since everything we do does comes back to bite us.
India prepares for war: 14,000 bunkers are built along Pakistan border as the nations prepare their military and Islamabad warns its rival nuclear power ‘better sense’ is needed to avoid conflict https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...s-Indian-jets-carries-airstrikes-Kashmir.html Either Khan promises India he'll take a hard line with Kashmir terrorists or this situation goes sideways badly
This is major news, or it should be. Instead, US news is focused on Michael Cohen, who, after a day of testimony, had no breaking news. It's really amazing. I'm 12 minutes into the NBC Nightly News and they have not mentioned India-Pakistan once. In fact, they are still talking about Cohen,
No, it’s people like you who keep defending rogue states and then wonder what to do when they don’t get along. This is on you, bud!
No, it's people like you who provide moral cover for the lying crooks and hypocrites in Washington DC who waste American resources by the trillions. This is on you, guy!
Well ... you know these YPG Kurds in Norther Syria ... called to be heroic fighters in war against ISIS and good allies of the USA? Well ... they are MUSLIMS!!! And for Turkey they are evil terrorists, more worse as ISIS and Al Qaeda together!
Says much about media quality in the USA! And no ... this isn't Anti-American, I know enough Americans who are angry about their media and news reporting too.
The liberal trump haters in the US will be surprised if a war breaks out between india and pakistan It might even push cohen and jesse smollet out of the news for a day or two
Agreed. I don't know why America didn't just nuke Pakistan off the map. Or at least invade the country and shoot anything that moved. I mean, what can you expect from such evil as America? Countries like Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Russia etc are beacons of virtue in an otherwise dark world. That's why so many people want to leave America, and so few want to go there.
