Post a link to actual evidence or admit you can't support your claim.

I think unless a major war breaks out that one trillion annually with a 5% annual increase would be adequate.

I have already gone through this with you in a previous thread .. after which you went running to the playground to stick head deep in the sandbox of denial. You even tried to claim that Veteran's affairs were not part of Total Military spending which is patent nonsense.

Once again, you cannot "protect the U.S. homeland" without massive expeditionary forces engaged or prepared to do so overseas.

Just as a football team no matter how overwhelmingly powerful cannot keep the other team from scoring if they continuously give them the ball on the one yard line.

Then please link to the post where you provided such evidence. Oh yeah, I remember. you tried to claim "interest on the debt" as part of "military spending". Why isn't "interest on the debt" part of spending on Social Security and Medicare?

Russia and china and everyone else does it. You are just factually incorrect. Most countries just defend the homeland. We should too

I did not use interest as part of the - greater than 1 Trillion Figure - however, the portion of interest on the debt from the Total Military spend obviously factors into the bankruptcy equation.

Crimea and Ukraine might well disagree with you about Russia.

China is building bases in disputed waters well outside their territorial waters. Not to mention the Chinese are building aircraft carriers as fast as they can. So you are again incorrect.

Crimea and Ukraine are not our problem. Let's say this....I am will to match the number of overseas bases and aircraft carriers that china or Russia has......agreed?

No that would be ridiculous. China has only one coast to bother with. Russia is a land power. They do not need ANY overseas bases whatsoever. Their forces can simply drive to virtually anywhere in the world they wish to engage in combat in.

Good thing that various foreign nations like France didn't decide in 1777 that the "revolt of the American colonies" " are not our problem".

We would still be part of the British Empire. Though Philadelphia would probably have become the administrative capital of that Empire.

In other words no matter what I post you will never accept anything in support of a large U.S. defense budget.

Why don't you quit bothering to respond.

How else should one respond to someone who thrives on disingenuous denial ?

When you look at total defense spending - you have to know what you are looking at .. for example the DOD "defense" budget is not total defense/military/military related spending.

So now the FBI is part of defense spending. And NSA. And DHS. And Foreign Military Sales. And though you denied it you did include interest on debt.

Basically you included everything but the kitchen sink as part of "defense spending" to arrive at your blatantly false figures. Why not NASA and the CDC?
