That 's just one of many problems with Romney. If it isn't scripted for him, he screws up. He has chronic foot in mouth.

BO needs teleprompter, Romney needs his scripts.

Romney clarified later that he is not concerned about the poor because they have a safety net, and if there are holes in the safety net he will fix them when he is President.

So actually, Romney promised to increase government handouts to the poor.

I like how the libs are only hearing what they want out of this. Here's the whole quote....

Conveniently left out that last part, didn't you?

    Interestingly, he also said this...

How peculiar that this part didn't also make it into the article's title. Not peculiar at all actually but merely predictable. Because that's what people with an agenda do. They pull out the magnifying glass and focus in on only the parts that make people they don't like look bad. And sadly, this article is just another example in the all too common circus sideshow of what passes for news today. No story here. Just more propaganda.

And I'm not even a Romney fan. I just can't stand to see people be dishonestly misrepresented for petty political gain.

If you listen to the entire statement and interview you wouldn't be.

He said that the poor have their safety net and they do. And that if there are holes in it they need to be addressed. They get housing, food, medical care and a host of other free services. And then he said he is not concerned with the wealthy, they can take care themselves and are. He IS concerned with those in the middle who have been hurt the most and who getting back to work should be our MAIN concern for that will pull everyone up when people are working again and they will be paying taxes and require fewer government services.

We aren't going to get the economy going by giving more stuff to the poor, it will only get going when the middle class is working again.

    What do you find objectionable?

This was taken out of context... He also said he doesn't care about the very rich either; he wants to focus more on the middle class. That's the point he was trying to make.

While fully supporting the Ryan Plan that does away with those already meager safety nets?

He's a serial liar. He says everything and then tries to mold it into whatever he thinks will fly at the moment.

"I’m in this race because I care about Americans," Romney said. "I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs a repair, I’ll fix it."

That's like telling the guy on the ledge it's ok to jump because there is a large airbag deployed below...

Does he not realize the safety net he is ignoring is a large part of the issue as to why the middle class is hurting?? How can you fix the issue by ignoring the problem?

How can we fix anything unless we get the middle class back to work?
