Brandon Marsh, as we all expected, leading MLB in OPS

Sadly the guy traded for him, Logan O'Hoppe, who was off to a great start, out 4-6 months with a torn labrum

It has come to my attention that all or most of the Oakland sport teams left town because when they were planning new stadiums or arenas, all the deals fell through and it is why teams like the Oakland Seals (NHL) went to Cleveland, the Oakland Raiders (NFL) went to Los Angeles and then Las Vegas, The Golden State Warriors went back to San Francisco and soon the Oakland Athletics will be heading to Las Vegas by the end of this decade. And then the Athletics move there, there will be no more pro sports teams based in Oakland. All the pro sports teams will either be based in San Francisco and San Jose, because those two cities gave the teams what they wanted and they were staying. The Warriors came back to San Francisco to play in Chase Center, The San Francisco Giants started at Seals Stadium and then Candlestick Park and now Oracle Park and they got the stadiums on time. The San Francisco started at Kezar Stadium near Golden Gate Park and then Candlestick Park and nor Levis Stadium in Santa Clara and they got their stadiums on time as well and they are beautiful stadiums that are state-of-the-art places. Too bad for Oakland for not making good on their promises. Losing their teams to San Francisco and Las Vegas, Nevada. The thing is if you are a city that has a tea wanting to build a new stadium, it better be done on time. When the NFL Cardinals wanted the City of St. Louis to build them a new stadium in 1987, The city didn’t do it and said good bye when the Cardinals said they leave for Arizona and did just that. So there you have it. That’s all I’ll say for now.

Damn, Rays notched their 20th win, smashing Houston in Game 1 of their series.

Yanks now seven back in that division.

Baltimore playing some really good ball too. 9-1 over their last ten games.

The city of Oakland doesn't deserve to have a sports team anymore.

End of May. Tigers are only a game and a half behind the Twins for first place in the division.

True, the division as a whole sucks. But the Tigers are still in!

    World Series, here we come!

The city of Oakland lost the Raiders, and Warriors, and soon the Athletics. It looks like lightning struck twice in Oakland and it looks like there will be a third time. The present owners of the Athletics will let that happen and the Oakland fans want them to sell the A's so they can stay in Oakland. I really do feel sorry for the sports fans in Oakland and it's a shame that it has to happen this way. If and when the A's were to move to Las Vegas, Where will the Las Vegas Aviators relocate?

    They WON'T have to...
They are Minor League AAA Team and have their own stadium in Summerlin...
The Aviators are staying put, and the A's may even use their stadium in '25 and '26 while waiting for new park to be built...

End of June. Tigers are in second place in their division. Of course it's also true that there are two teams tied for first.

    So their season isn't over.

    Yet.

    Go Tigers!

End of July. Tigers are 7.5 games behind Minnesota. It's starting to look like my hopes were merely hallucinations.

    Nevertheless, go Tigers!

Looks like Vierling is doing a decent job for you, Maton not so much....

Ugh I’m ready to chew f’g nails. Haven’t been able to see a single Stros game all season, because I’m not willing to buy a Comcast cable script w/ ATT Sportsnet.

Now, I’m still denied because asshat MLB put my Stros behind the F’g Rangers on FS1. Oh My Dear Good God, go F yourselves you bunch of multi-millionaire Cs. Done Done Done….

    Hahaha, I’m pathetic.

One out to go before I get my game.

    Sad….

FOX sucks even at carrying a baseball game. These announcers suck. The camera coverage sucks. Wtf are they doing cutting to an interview during an active pitch in progress. Cutting to views of players in the dugout during an active pitch in progress. They’ve got this amazing HD camera shot of the battle, and apparently have such little appreciation of it that they cut the screen over to completely irrelevant stuff.

The announcers apparently have no interest in calling the game. The homoerotic praise one of them was laying on about one of the players being as fine a specimen as he ever seen was enough. Had to go to mute. It’s just ridiculous. I don’t care that the Twins pitcher was accepted into medical school at 16. Christ, they might as well be announcing crap about Neil Young’s train collection.

    Dodgers are a total disgrace...
Massive Fave who lost first 2 at Home...
    Orioles are a total disgrace...
Massive Fave who lost first 2 at Home...
Road teams that take a 2-0 lead in a best-of-five series have advanced 90% of the time. The only three teams to overcome such a deficit were the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015, the San Francisco Giants in 2012 and the New York Yankees in 2001.
The Dodgers are now looking to becoming the fourth, one win at a time.

Good lord, there you go again, wtf is wrong with you Andy?

Total disgrace? Who talks that way about a team losing a baseball game, or two, or a series?

I mean, I do kinda get it. Recently my boys allowed themselves to get swept by both the Yankees and the Royals on home turf, in September, over the weekend. Two September Home Field Weekend Sweeps. One by the Yankees. And One by the Lowly .346 effing Royals.

I'm not feeling kindly toward my boys to tell you the truth, I mean I get it. I won't quite go for total disgrace, so maybe I'm just nit picking. Wait, I see your point now. These two weekend sweeps of my Stros were absolutely total effing disgraces, especially the one from the Royals.

I think the 6-day layoff hurt the Dodgers, Braves, Orioles all lost their first game with the Orioles and Dodgers losing 2 straight. Without Harris II great catch and double play, the Braves would also be down 0-2. The Astros were the only team with a bye to win on Saturday but lost their second game.

The teams with the bye, a 6 day layoff have a combined 2-6 record. 6 days in-between games is way too many.

Does anybody else have a problem with teams finishing 14 and 16 games back of the division leaders making the playoffs?

I think it was last season I noticed that the Giants and Dodgers dominated the NL, but only one got in post season. What's the egregious miss this year from your pov?
