    LOLOLOL, I don't know whether to laugh or laugh even harder, these guys are saying the profile of black people is that they're criminals. LOLOLOL.

    They should have just accepted the chief's apology and kept their mouths shut.

    The restaurant reported black kids, should the police have questioned only white kids instead?

    Identifying someone by their skin color, one of the most obvious characteristics of an individual, isn’t racist.

    I was recently very obviously 'shadowed' by an employee while shopping in a local sporting goods (guns) store. I'm as white as Prince William (English lineage...Plymouth), but have lower back-length hair and an always-a-bit-too-long-and-scruffy salt and pepper goatee, and on this particular day my hair wasn't tied back and it had been about three days since I last shaved.

    I was profiled!

    This is pretty innocuous. They didn't question a groups of students on the other side of town, the students matched the description: Early 20's in a group walking from the IHOP which they themselves were patrons.

    Reminds me of the time I was playing guitar down at a shore point and an officer stopped and asked me about the make and model of my guitar, how long I had been playing etc, he was actually looking for someone whom had stolen a guitar earlier in the day.

    Basic investigation, I matched the description: White male late teens early 20's with a guitar. If they can't do that you can't expect crimes to actually be solved.

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding things but if you suspect they're dine-and-dash suspects then the goal for them would be to flee the restaurant, not go back to the restaurant .

    Sounds like they are trying to instigate a "Free TVs and Athletic Shoes!!" summer event...in the relatively AFFLUENT Clayton....

    No, but they should make a note that the idea of a successful dine-and-dash is to not be near the restaurant you ran from.
