Mobile wont turn off...

This mobile version is so bad... Even worse, I cant turn it off!

I press the "Full Version" button over and over, but it won't fix.

I have a feeling its my phone/browser.

Is there any way I can disable the Mobile Version? Because I am not a fan, but use my phone 99% im on here...

Also, if this is the wrong place for this thread I apologize I wasnt sure where it would go.

Same here i have a smart phone and the mobile version sucks. I cant turn it off. When clicking full version i continue to get the mobile version.

I only know how to get from mobile to web again, and that is simply to log out and log back in again. I wouldn't know anything else about it, but I can ask the Admin for you!

 

I tried that, nothing happened.

I personally dont think the mobile version is even necessary, the full site worked perfectly on this current phone and my old ones, which werent smart phones.

If you could ask an admin that would be great, thank you.

I am using a smart phone too, i tried the default browser and Opera Mini, didnt work.

Only option is too turn off mobile mode on my defauly browser but it does it for all websites...

Log out, restart your phone, go to http://www.politicalforum.com/ in your browser and and make a new bookmark.

 

Seems like administrators set it that way.

to administrators; bad move, either improve your mobile version or allow full version, the mobile version sucks and you will lose members.

if your goal is to save money on bandwidth, the amount of less trafic from discouraged mobile users will hurt your ad and donation revenue.

really, the mobile version is terrible.

if you want to save bandwith, why not put everyone on mobile version?

you will not only conserve more bandwidth, but all the people who leave will also save you bandwidth.

just close the whole site down and youll save even more!

Go to phone settings and delete the browser cookies then try again.

 

I cant seem to post new topics either, when i hit submit i get a new blank form and no new thread.

i just wasted half an hour...

getting fed up with this, soon i will unsubscribe and leave if i cant fix it.

im pretty sure the admins changed it this way and theres nothing mobile users can do.

if this is perminant i will most likely unsubscibe and go to another more mobile friendly forum.

Same here. Mobile version is much less usable. I prefer the full version, even on my phone.

I have followed the instructions outlined in this thread and can not get the full version.

I didn't bother to add this site back to my favorites. So I got good news for those that don't like post and want me gone.

I'll try again in a month hopefully they will correct it by then. Good bye.

I agree with all of you; the mobile version is NOT good.
I will relay this to the administrator and see if we can just get back to where we were.

But this isnt hi-tech, its a very simple, watered-down, almost unusable version of the forum.

Its 3 colours, and words. Literally, with the mobile version, that is all this forum is. A light and dark blue, and white...

I really see no reason for a mobile version. The full version isn't a memory hog. I've been using it on mobile devices for years.

If the site management really wants to do something to make it more mobile-friendly, they could make it tapatalk capable and any mobile users will be set. Most BBS software supports tapatalk, so it would be very easy to do.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I, too am not enjoying the mobile version experience and would like my PF back. Very very unimpressed. I'm sure the admin(s) will get it fixed ASAP.

So far, I think 100% of my posts has been from my phone, from what I can remember.... No problems with the regular version, that people on computers didnt also get.

This is the only thread Ive posted on since the mobile version.
