A wall can be gone over, under, around, and smuggled through.
And all of those options will be used if they have a need to get here. Mostly useless is the wall.

They sure worked well in San Diego by any measure you want to come up with. I feel a Jim Acosta moment coming.

I don't know. Earlier another RW said the wall is 70% effective.
So, the wall in SD has stopped illegals?

Why do you conflate legal immigrants with illegal aliens?

Illegal aliens pay between $7B and $11B and then some collect. And you assume those jobs would go unfilled by a citizen who pays those taxes so the actual loss much smaller and inconsequential to total FICA revenue.

Anybody who believes (or at least attempts to convey) that the wall is the only solution is a fool.

Physical barricades are useful in slowing people down. Not completely stopping them. Right now, we have massive recurring costs paying border patrol or are quite literally constantly chasing runners reactively. A wall is a proactive approach to slow people down so we can be proactive and reduce the number of agents

Currently things are more unstable in SA because of all the money generated by illegal drugs going to criminal gangs and corrupt officials.

I've heard plenty of stories of those coming across the southern border claiming asylum who admit they only came here for economic reasons. Other than Venezuela, I can't think of any legitimate asylum claims from that region.

And a wall without those other attemtps, particularly addressing the root causes, is a waste of money IMO.
And all tRUMP has going is the wall. No other policies being bantered around.

LOL. You think I have that answer?

So, you disagree with that kook blog about why immigrants seek to come here?
What is your actual take on why?
Not the RW BS about they just want free stuff.

What exactly is the root cause we should be fixing? I agree with removing the opportunities that people come here for, both jobs and benefits. Removing that alone though will not fix the issue.

I agree with you dairyair. This needs to be a multi-faceted approach.
