That's just what we need -- more hearings and more investigations and more reports. And that my friends explains why congress has such a low favoritism rating. Where the hell is the media on all this? They should be calling congress out for being such fools. Alas, I guess fools don't recognize other fools.

You omitted something important. A closed hearing means nothing to the public. We may or may not see the testimony within weeks or months. In other words, who cares about a hearing behind closed doors. However ...

(CNN)Robert Mueller will testify before Congress on July 17 after House Democrats issued a subpoena for his appearance, a move that paves the way for a reluctant special counsel to answer questions publicly for the first time about his 22-month investigation into President Donald Trump.

Trump reacted angrily by bringing up the two FBI lovebirds, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. Of course, he was lying. He can't help himself.

Trump can be very strange sometimes. Does he have mental disorder?

    I can't agree more.

Did you read the entire Mueller Report?

You need only two hands and two feet to count the number of Americans who have read the entire report.

You are right. Who the hell is going to completely read a 448 page report that says nothing. Mueller is the epitome of a pencil pushing bureaucratic red tape lawyer who produces copious pages of gobbledygook. Just think, Mueller along with his band of 16 merry lawyers got paid for that "report". But in Washington the show must go on.

If you think that SS Mueller is somehow going to pull a rabbit out of a hat, then you going to be very disappointed.

Just the opposite. The Republicans are going to grill him big time.

You realize that all that is needed for a felony obstruction charge is that Trump knowingly tried to undermine the investigation right?

The outcome of the investigation is irrelevent when it comes to obstruction. Any attempt, regardless of whether or not charges are filed in the end, to interfere in an investigation, is obstruction of justice. Just like any attempt to tamper with witnesses or evidence is still a crime even if they don't lead to a conviction.

This is the reason that the congressional hearing is necessary. Most Americans don't read, but they do watch television.

I'm pondering the possibilities here. Mueller has said "My report is my testimony"- but there are going to be some questions about how this was done, such as how Flynn was set up and a number of questions about behind the scenes communications and intent. Mueller may dodge these, but not wanting to get caught in the same kind of trap that his own investigations used, he may simply answer honestly- and open the wider door to a tangled web that may take years to unwind. We know it's there, we already have enough of it to be sure it was a plot- we just need to dig up the details, and expose the people pulling the strings.

This has, in my opinion- been one of the most devious, immoral and evil political tricks I've ever seen, and I remember Joe McCarthy......

Let’s see how this plays out. More often than not these hearings end up becoming more about the committee members themselves than the subject of examination. Our elected reps just love their fifteen minutes of fame.

The Trump Justice Department Special Counsel was assigned "to oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters" - Putin's covert machinations to hurt Clinton and help Trump, as exposed by the FBI, NSA, CIA, and confirmed by the Republican-controlled Senate Special Committee on Intelligence.

He has issued his report which specifically stated that it did not exonerate Trump, and he emphasized that again in his brief public statement - after a self-serving lie to the contrary had been expressed.

Those who are peeing their frillies at the prospect of his appearing before Congress will not discredit his testimony by their frenetic dung flinging.

He can be expected to again meticulously adherence to the facts he has uncovered, and refrain from assuming a prosecutorial role that does not comport with current Justice Department policy in that regard.

How Congress proceeds in its proper judicial role in such a matter is for Congress to determine, and its reviewing his findings with him shows due diligence in undertaking that responsibility.

Protecting the United States against another such perversion of the democratic process by a hostile foreign power in November, 2020 is a national security imperative.

While I doubt that the russians accomplished squat either way, I do think there will be some interesting questions put to Mueller, and I'm going to follow the show.

Do you think that that was the purpose of the RUSSIA! hoax? Was it a tool to entrap Trump into committing an obstruction of injustice crime?

Russia wasn't a hoax, unless you are claiming that dozens of FBI agents, CIA agents, and military intelligence agents are all lying just to try to frame Trump.

Russia DID interfere in out election. And there was plenty of evidence that members of the Trump campaign had unethical contact with Russia agents during the campaign. Jeff Sessions had multiple meetings with Russian intelligence officials, and lied about those meetings when he was asked about them. As did Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, and Donald Trump Jr. Several of them are still facing charges for failing to disclose those meetijngs to the state department and FEC, which is required by law for any campaign staffers when meeting foreign officials.

The fact is that Maueller made it very clear in his report that while there was not enough evidence to justify him suggesting charges be filed against any of them, that their behavior made it impossible for him to say that any of them could be cleared of any wrongdoing as well. He pretty much said flat out that they were guilty of hell, but there wasn't enough evidence to charge them with anything.

Mueller condemned Trump during his press conference and Republicans ignored it. Mueller could tell you directly thar Trump is guilty and you would reinterpret his own words, wouldn't you?

And what are you going to get? More nothing. Your palpable disappointment after Mueller testifies to no collusion and no demonstrable obstruction I await with glee.

    He posited innuendo.

It's sad that people still cling to the "hope" that our President is corrupt.
