Not as exciting as I thought. Maybe I will start a rap battle with Herkdriver.

Sorry, nobody gets my humor, that's why I'm a musician.

I've been playing about 2 years now, but tend to go for folk plucking style. Currently working on Dylan Tomorrow is a Long Tme, it's proving tricky.

Finger picking is actually something that I need to desperately need to work on.

Quite a few songs would be easier if I learned such.....

I haven't taken much in the way of formal lessons (... and those I did do were "blah"), so everything is self-taught.

I am teaching myself how to play the piano as well.

I want to put more time into the bass guitar as well...... meh, so much to do.

I've been playing drums for 16 years, almost exclusively metal, ranging in heaviness from old Black Sabbath to Pantera. Many covers and many originals. Originals are mostly political "freedom metal", similar lyrically to some of System of a Down's songs. Currently also singing in a comedy oriented band in the tradition of Spinal Tap and Tenacious D.

    Bassist here, electric only.
Studied jazz at music college for 5 years and worked fulltime as a bassist/teacher for a few years.
Toured across Europe for some time playing all kinds of different music. I always referred to myself as a rocker with jazz skills. I usually enjoyed the heavier rock stuff a lot.
Now I'm back at university doing something different - history, linguistics, literary & cultural studies.

My influences as a bassist were/are Billy Sheehan, Deep Purple, Tower of Power, Incognito, Racer X, Jeff Andrews, Mike Stern, Jaco, Stu Hamm and so many others ....however, the king of kings is Gary Willis.

I made a few mistakes on the lead..... some of it is just improv. We decided to just include the lead at somewhat of the last minute.

A cover of Santana's Put Your Lights On.
