Yeah, some of it does seem to be driven by fear of not being seen as one of the kool kids. Which is ironic, since Progressivism hasn't been hip since about 2010. Maybe they're just really into retro tropes?

The rest of them seem to be motivated either by plain old paternalism, or by a personal dislike of adult responsibility.

Exactly, that is ALL that needed to be said. COLOR did not need to be mentioned.

How can you possibly know who needs what? What if the short guy deliberately cut his legs off so he could get more boxes? What if the guy who had his box taken off him did nothing at all to deserve that? Since we can never know the details of the individual, in an 'equity' system you have no way of knowing if you're helping the right person or the wrong person. And since this utterly indiscriminate kind of 'help' actually encourages people to cut their legs off, you're basically setting out to **** everyone over. Eventually all your resources are going to the wrong people, and the people who actually need those resources don't get them.

This is always the end result of 'equity'. It's clearly a tool designed by someone with a pretty freaking sinister motive.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I was just now wondering how colourfully you'd respond to be being called out on your bias, and I can say ... I'm not disappointed!

PS: Adults usually understand the concept of a figure of speech. The literary device. Pretending not to get it is pretty silly.

But why was that? Was it because of a particular policy that was voiced or written? If so, point to it. If it turns out that whites will be more discriminated than blacks from the recent hurricane, I, unlike you, can point to Kamala Harris' words; you cannot do likewise. That's the difference.
