9am today. 1,374 so far today. I show about 14,000+/week. The Trump shots may save hundreds of thousands.

Your playing games with the statistics. The Trump Administration was already at about 1 million doses a day (1); the Biden Administration simply inherited this success. Thus Biden's so-called "ambitious" plan for there to be 100 million shots in 100 days is pretty much a flatline of progress.

So, come on, man, give me a break, man. Biden has admitted his administration does not have enough competence to make noticeable progress compared to the Trump Administration. He's admitting there will be statistically about 0% of progress in his first 100 days in the vaccine rollout. He admitted that. On camera. In his own words.

Given this, why aren't you Democrats talking about the scores of thousands of deaths under the Biden Administration? Were you politicizing death?

Spot on! Biden inherited Trump's efforts to get a vaccine and get it distributed but Biden has dropped the ball. Trump would have had many more distributed by now.

but biden is not responsible for the covid deaths until

    1. he proclaims the disease a "hoax" or otherwise trivializes the disease
    2. refuses to wear a mask or avoid crowded venues, and encourages his followers to do the same
    3. uses his bully pulpit to sell untested treatments and to ridicule the doctors who study these things. is he really "smarter than the doctors?"

the death toll from trump flu is over 500,000 and continuing to climb

A year ago the Trump said that there were 15 cases and they were all going to go away. And then it went (where else) golfing.

-They were on their last leg anyway
-They died with covid not from covid
-It's a needed sacrifice to keep the economy open
-It is all a Dem hoax
-The doctors are exaggerating covid death counts

Those were the Trump fan excuses before Jan 21st. All of a sudden, they changed tune and seem to be "concerned" about the mounting death toll

Meanwhile, Biden holds a ceremony to remember the 500,000 who passed away, a much needed breath of fresh air after a year of denial by Trump. Now, since Trump probably wants to run again in 2024: Where was his address to the nation about the tragic 500,000 milestone? Not a word, but he'll rather go to the CPAC this coming weekend and air some more grievances about his stolen election and do some more Dem bashing. In other words, red meat for the base.

Yes. Trump's record. THIS is Trump's record.
    https://slate.com/news-and-politics...coronavirus-deaths-avoidable-unnecessary.html

    https://blogs.ei.columbia.edu/2020/10/22/covid-19-response-avoidable-deaths/

Almost half of all deaths, and probably more than that, are Trump's legacy. Both before and after he left the WH. The consequences of Trump's lies, inaction and incompetence did not stop on inauguration day. And they will go continue for years to come. That is and forever will be on Trump's record.

You raise a good point--clearly Operation Covid was political, though my theory is it would have happened even if Hillary had won in 2016. It was a planned event.

Your point, the toning down of the anxiety after a Biden victory (even if it was stolen), is right on. It's been all about the narrative, and not about public health.

It's been all about plundering the Treasury, not about public health.

The numbers you cite are horribly inaccurate, and that too is part of the plan. Well done. The perps have plundered the treasury, rendered many small businesses dead in the water, scared hell out of the people and encouraged them to stand in line to become crash test dummies for a gene editing injection administered under Emergency Use Only Authorization.

    Truth is stranger than fiction.

Surely you understand it is because of the abysmal job Trump and his admin did in handling COVID.

    Trump Is Guilty of Pandemicide
History will show the former U.S. president was staggeringly negligent during the pandemic’s deadly third wave.
    https://foreignpolicy.com/2021/02/18/trump-is-guilty-of-pandemicide/

Blaming Biden for COVID deaths would be like blaming Obama for the aftermath of the Bush recession. You know.........the kind of stuff you guys do.

Mute? Didn't Biden and the missus just have a ceremony in remembrance of the now half a million dead Americans? It was on the news just yesterday, ffs. How is that mute?

In fact, news about the virus is in our faces every single day, so where are you getting this mute business?

Ah, my bad ... you meant discussions on this forum, and lefties here becoming mute about the virus. There are two good reasons for that:

    1. We are much more confident that the new administration has a handle on it, unlike the previous administration, and is working to fix some of the problems such as getting more vaccine distributed and into our arms. I myself have benefitted from this step-up in logistics. I wasn't scheduled to get vaccinated until late April at best, but with the much more efficient rollout, I've had my first shot and my second is scheduled for next week.

    2. I think we're just weary of thinking or talking or writing about it. It's depressing.

So, you claim that if Trump would have remained president 20 million doses or so would have been distributed between Jan 21 and Feb 21, but Biden showing up on Jan 21 got an additional 20 million doses down the pipeline within 30 days. Boggles the mind.

So he beats his forecast by 30%.
    That's awful!
He could pull a Trump and miss it by 80%.

Learn to live with this, COVID IS HERE TO STAY! The highly touted vaccine will likely, as with flu vaccines, prove useless against the already emerging mutated variants. Best case scenario, a yearly Influenza/Covid vaccine combo which will likely, as with flu vaccines, NOT prevent all cases of either. That it was politized from the get-go is no surprise, since in modern America ABSOLUTELY NOTHING escapes politicization.

As with flu vaccines, since scientists are not clairvoyant, they can only include anti-bodies for known strains.

With influenza, mutations are not common, and the last strain for which the annual vaccine did not protect us was the strain of H1N1 (swine flu) than ran amok in 2009-2010. I've been getting flu shots every year starting in 1998, and in those two decades I've only caught the flu twice (including Feb 2010). I'll take those odds any day.

However, current knowledge shows us that this corona virus mutates much faster, creating stronger versions of itself because it is encountering so little resistance. Several big pharma companies are already working on boosters to the current vaccines to hopefully protect us from the Brazilian and African mutations, which kill more efficiently.

You are absolutely correct about the probability that we will need annual flu/covid shots every year, and that it will not protect from a new, unknown strain.

It doesn't help that so many are resistant to vaccination.

According to experts, the OWS was fundamental in the development of the vaccine.

    "
The experts agree that Operation Warp Speed played a significant role in Moderna's development of a potential vaccine.

'Without OWS, there would be no Moderna vaccine. Period,' Dai said.

What is more efficient about it? Biden said he was going to get 100 million shots in 100 days of his administration; the Trump Administration was already at about 1 million shots a day. (1) So Biden has admitted a flat-line in vaccine rollout progress and no plans to really improve upon what the Trump Administration had already met. So this reasoning is poor.

See, I wasn't lying. That is what he actually said. So, in fact, you should be thanking Trump.

Interesting. You get weary thinking or talking about it . . . as soon as Biden became president. Interesting, interesting. So you were not politicizing death and the grief of mourning families, you were just angry about it when Trump was president, but now, with Biden as president, coincidentally you are just tired and depressed. Got it.

Neither Pfizer or biontech were part of it and they were the first and still the best.
