Yes I have seen love trump stupidity for all of my life. It trumped it for awhile in my first marriage long ago. Until my own intelligence finally trumped my love for a woman. I could have stayed in the marriage, and somehow endured her infidelity, that put my own health at risk, but sometimes intelligence must trump the emotions, when it comes to one's own physical and psychological health.

This woman of the OP blames herself. When she should have blamed the culprit and his perversions. But then you hear of abused women, who get beaten regularly by the husband who says he loves them....right! lol I love you so much dear, that I am gonna beat the crap out of you any time you get out of line, and its for your own good, or course. I am actually doing you a huge service by beating you up with my fists.

And many of these abused women have stayed with such rogues and scumbags. Because of love. But if the other person does not love you back, and act accordingly.....

I don't necessarily disagree, but by that definition, a LOT of marriages are abusive. And a LOT of spouses forgive that abuse. And that's not what JakeJ was referring to.

And I hope you're not a Trump supporter; otherwise your condemnation of serial infidelity rings hollow.

Yeah, I can just feel the sympathy in posts like "only an SJW could be that level of stupid."

Yes, because only an SJW would have such a low opinion of herself that she thanked someone for giving her AIDS.

Yep, just dripping with sympathy. The conservative heart is a warm and loving one, I can see that.

Why is sympathy needed here? She's happier than she's ever been.

    Why don't you believe her?

They just aren’t enlightened enough to see how big of a gift AIDS really is.

That’s a good point. It could have been a lot worse, they were heading for divorce, and this saved them. The takeaway I got from this story:

    Marriage on the rocks
    ...
    Gay sex+AIDS
    ...
    Happier than ever!

Could this be the cure for all the troubled marriages out there?

Hey, it is the feminists who are always telling us how many women are the victims of abuse. Don't come at me looking for any further explanation, go to them.

There may not be much sympathy in that statement but there isn't any outrage either. Just a good laugh at a SJW's expense.

You were responding to me, so I already read it.

I'll ask again: why should we have sympathy for a woman who has been made complete by the love she is experiencing?

At least they finally recognize it in California.

It used to be against the law there, but they're learning.

    Rapid backpedal noted.

Thus completely contradicting your claim. Thanks.

No, I wasn't. I responded to someone else, you responded to my post, and then I responded to you.

Read the post I was responding to. Hell, read the post of mine YOU first responded to and note what I was quoting.

One part of the article I liked was when she asked the interviewer about how courageous her husband was for admitting what he did, and how apologetic he was about it. Just think of the bravery it would take!

Why are you insisting we sympathize with her? She’s happier than ever with her new gift. Shouldn’t we be celebrating this like I am?

I can't help but notice you still can't answer the question and would instead like to play the progressive game of post scavenger hunt.

Oh, FFS. Here is the post YOU responded to. I didn't realize it would be so hard for you to find the place you yourself decided to enter the conversation:

Note the quoted part at the bottom, which is why I referenced sympathy.

I can’t believe that there are still people in the current year that don’t view an interracial AIDS infection story as an uplifting tale of love and courage. My wife’s son is shaking his head in disappointment.
