So women were brought from Africa to work for free? Wow, that is quite the alternative history you have there.

Draft women only, imo - It is time they get their share of the pie. :)

~ I think women in the military is fine - but not drafted. I also think women should not be sent into combat. I guess I must be old fashion. :salute:

Where did you get that distortion? I didn't say women needed any type of crutches. They have done damn well for themselves, considering how far depressed men kept them for centuries.

You want sad, perhaps you need to consider why women were oppressed. To feed the egos of males? In part. But men also considered it protecting those who can continue the lineage.

So now "some" is the same as "all".

You do not have to say it. When you equate one with the other it is implied.

What a joke feminism has become. Women just want to be respected. I get that but the lefties have totally hijacked the movement for their own political gain. It doesn't take much to stir up feminists so they are easy pickin's for votes. Just paint your opponent as a he man woman hater and you increase your voter base. That is what you do when you have zero policies to run on.

Do you know the difference between implied and said?

I did not claim you said it but your argument implies it.

I see you want to discuss semantics instead of the actual topic.

I do not care what your opinion is on what you implied. The fact is slavery and the so called "oppression" of women are not even comparable.

    Now, let's move on.

There never has been some masculine boogey man keeping women down. Truth is that certain roles have been needed throughout history and society has saw to it that these roles were maintained. The traditional role of women in society became less prominent and women wanted more respect.

I see no problem with the role of women in society changing. Same goes for the role of men. So let's see that for what it is.

Society should evolve to accommodate a better way of life for everyone. Telling lies about one group of folks to bring about change only goes so far.

Your idea of back-circling is about all the proof necessary to support the conclusion that you don't even believe your own posts.

Not my job to educate you, again.

I can, and I did. Not my problem if you didn't bother reading it. Horse to water, and all that.

And it's mindsets like that, that caused the very problem you claim did, and unfortunately currently does at times, exist.

I don't agree with the screeching bunch who feel like they need to be treated better than males. There are certain things a female is not physiologically equal in, and visa versa, but the prevalent attitudes of some people are right along with your beliefs that women have not provided anything of value, and that men did not oppress them.

    They are very wrong.

Well I have to say we are closer to agreement than I thought. I do not see men and women as being the same but each could be treated equally.

For a few decades now we have had women getting the same opportunities as men yet men are still out performing women. You have to agree to that. The proof is in the pudding.

So where is the female Bill Gates? Mark Zuckerberg? Jeff Bezos? Elon Musk? And so forth and so on.

Women already have. For instance, Grace Hopper is an icon in the world of computer science: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_Hopper.
