No, because part of the various agreements that broke up the soviet union was that the various states would become independent nations. An arrangement that Yeltsin underwrote in the Budapest memorandum.
    As stated.

A paramilitary group sent from Russia kicked off a civil war, why do you think they got shelled?

Forbes has long been an official outlet for official narratives. No surprise they're still doing it.

sure..it's as good a theory as all the others...doesn't make much sense though from an American / European diplomatic perspective though, if you're trying to maintain a united coalition what's the point unless such an action was agreed behind closed doors by the stakeholders? Even then what's the point of blowing something up which can be repaired later. It's a pointless useless re-active action typical of what Russians do....anyway what's done is done; it's basically a pointless act of malicious damage....it's my pipeline and you can't have it.....let me win or I'll nuke you....that kind of childishness

It's episodes like this that will be the catalyst to USA getting nuked. There has been alot of talk on the street in USA over the last few years that Russia is going to blow USA into orbit.

    The Minsk conundrum

The issue with the Minsk peace accords is that both sides, Russia and Ukraine, interpret the agreements differently.

The Ukrainian government views them as a means to reunite Ukraine and fully restore Ukrainian sovereignty, though with certain devolved powers given to the two regions.

On the other hand, the Kremlin believes that the accords enshrine a process that would see a Russia-aligned administration in Luhansk and Donetsk and special status granted to them before they are reunited with the rest of Ukraine.

This would ensure that Russia retains an influence over the country and Ukraine can never be truly sovereign.

The agreement fails a basic provision of contracts: Contracts require a meeting of the minds. You have to agree on the clauses, that they mean the same things. Ukraine and Russia do not view the clauses as meaning the same things.
Ukraine wants to retain its sovereignty, and Russia wants to take it from them.

Absolutely but that won't stop USA from trying to put their boot on there necks. This is why Europe needs a strong Russia. So we can play USA and Russia off against eachother. Without Russia the USA neo cons will crush the life out of Europe, they are tyrants.

You're confusing the old Soviet Union with today's Russia. The Soviet Union needed countries in the western part of Europe to act as buffer zone between the US and Western Europe. That is no longer the case since the collapse of the Soviet Union. A united Europe is in the best interest of everyone except the US. The US needs to see how Europe sees the US and it's constant wars around the world and involving NATO countries which Germany is tired of.

NATO countries in Europe especially Germany are tired of America's endless wars and being dragged into them. Germany wants a united Europe to include Russia and they want the US to get their nose out of their business. The US needs Germany to stay in NATO or NATO will collapse removing American's hold on Europe. This is not Russia propaganda because it was becoming clear Germany was not fully supporting NATO letting their military degrade and not paying their share to support NATO.

Germany has been growing weary of America's endless wars constantly getting dragged into them through NATO. Germany was becoming a pacifist nation letting their military degrade and not paying their agreed share to support NATO.

Did you know that two Russian military ships were seen in the vicinity of the leaks just before there were explosions detected?
Why would you assume it was the US who sabotaged the pipelines?
