We've been spending money like there's no tomorrow. Since 2001, Treasuries have kept our heads above water, and IMO, Treasuries Leeches are no different than welfare recipients.

Trump's remarkable economy was massively pumped up by Treasuries, and so will Biden's economy. For said reason, I'm not proud like you are Mr. Mike12.

I taught economics to adults and high school students over more than three decades. Have you taken an economics class?
    Uh huh.
Economic growth in Obama's last three years was almost identical to Trump's first three.

Regardless of how you try to slant it, Canada has one tenth our population in about the same area.

If you want to compare us, compare us with something which is comparable. Western Europe for instance.

actually you just proved how much better trump has been. Obama took on an economy destroyed... at the bottom, even a high school kid would’ve seen that comeback from the pit.

trump took an economy that had recovered and obama acolytes claimed ‘it’s great, no upside from here, this growth is new norm’. Trump took on an economy already pushing but obama kept a lid on it, not allowing it to break through that ceiling. Trump came in and shattered that glass ceiling with pro business policies.

    You are contradicting yourself......

YOUR quote; Regardless of how you try to slant it, Canada has one tenth our population in about the same area.

YOU'VE actually quoted a measurement adjusted for population, ''one tenth'', and the most common term is ''Per Capita''

One of the reasons I compared Obama's last three years to Trump's first three.
    No relevance to anything.
If your god, Trump, took the proverbial "lid" off, how come he didn't make it grow faster in his first three years than it did under Obama's last three?

They have roughly one tenth the population density. Their urban areas are further apart.

If you want to make realistic comparisons, you do not pick a country that is doing better and then try to convince everyone that they are comparable. Pick countries that are closer to directly comparable and then compare the results. The closest is Western Europe.

The graph you ignored (see above) show the U.S. is 82.3% urbanized and Canada is 81.4%. Not close enough for you?

All that means in this case is that their proportion of urban is similar to ours. It does not account for the fact that the urban areas are much further apart and there are fewer of them.

We could have a total population of ten people and, if eight of them lived in an urban environment, then we would have 80% urbanized.

All you are doing is cherry picking the country and then trying to convince everyone that they are similar.

    Here are the 3 main reasons why Canada's number of Covid19 deaths per 1M pop is significantly lower than the U.S., thus, 514 versus 1,316;

    1. CDC's testing screw ups.......No visible testing screw ups in Canada, and in Fact, in January, British Columbia's CDC successfully developed, and distributed their own Testing kits.

    2. Compared to several Southern States, Canadian provinces have re-openened their economies at a much lower positivity rate, thus, avoided a Summer wave.

    3. According to Trump's loyalists; Our nation-wide mass protests, and in Canada, said mass protests were non-existent.

There you go, in reference to Covid19, I just compared U.S. and Canada.

    What have I compared?

    a. Development and distribution of an effective Covid19 testing kit
    b. Re-opening guidelines
    c. Human behavior

Thus, in reference to Covid19, are all of the above FAIR COMPARISONS between U.S. and Canada?

But neglected to mention the obvious differences from the US and the fact that you cherry picked the location rather than picking a country or countries with similar geography and demographics.

Quote: But neglected to mention the obvious differences.......

    Nonsense!

    Here's an obvious difference/indisputable fact;

''Among 195 nations, only 2 countries had a Covid19 Summer Wave; U.S. and Peru''

    The question is; WHY?

Answer; Certainly not due to geography and demographics.

So opines the conclusion seeking premises.
I chose Canada because it has a similar level of urbanization, comparable median income, and is located next door.

Cherry picking. You picked one small factor out of virtually hundreds. .
Urbanization is only one small factor. They have a similar number of urban population. They are vastly more scattered.

    Cherry picking.

    Let's begin.......Factor # 1 out of 100

    1. Among 195 nations, only two nations had a Covid19 Summer Wave, U.S. and Peru. In the U.S., said factor killed 80,000 to 100,000 citizens.

    Factor # 2.....Your turn

You just reinforced the statement which I made. You are picking one small factor out of virtual hundreds and saying "ah ha, I told you so". That is classic cherry picking.

    2. U.S. pandemic radar was aiming towards Geneva....Big mistake!

There are literally hundreds of factors. You are only picking the ones that support your position. Classic cherry picking.

    3. China was downplaying/concealing the severity of Covid19

I'm not cherry picking.....just an unfortunate truth. Also, I don't like the word ''Downplaying''

What does that have to do with anything?
Pick a country or countries which are similar to the US in population distribution and geography. I recommend Western Europe.

    4. Within two weeks of Taiwan's General Alert (Dec 31st to mid Jan), Taiwan stopped exporting masks, and the U.S. kept exporting masks til early March. In fact, we were exporting masks to China. Results; We ended up with a severe shortage.

I'm not cherry picking.....just an unfortunate truth.

    Negative factor # 5 out of 100

I had numerous masks by that time. Right now, we have literally hundreds of masks of all shapes and descriptions.
If you are going to jump around from country to country, then you need to make them #X of 1000s because with nearly two hundred countries and numerous factors for each country there are literally thousands of combination to play with.

Giving up comparing us to other countries?

Not sure what your point is. I am not satisfied with the way it was managed. Problem is there is no indication that any democrat would have done any better.
