These refugees need to be welcomed and given financial help because we have ruined their country.

If you are ok with suicide bombing and killing innocents in war, you are violating Islamic law. ISIS does not offer conversion or jizya to non-Sunni Muslims as they are ordered to. There is also no death penalty in the Quran. And their self appointed 'caliph' must be voted into power. That you right wingers did not bother understanding Islamic law is your problem.

Nope. You're aware of the risks involved taking in Muslims from the Middle East as "refugees". You're OK with that risk. It doesn't stop you from advocating for them coming here.

 

I'm ok with refugees coming here, not ISIS. There is no way to know if the refugees are ISIS but why should we let that stop us from helping our fellow humans in dire need ?

 

What about the people who would be put at risk? Why aren't you concerned about them?

Because lives are at risk. It's important to weigh whether or not it's worth letting liberals feel good about themselves by playing the role of social engineer versus the potential damage that can be caused.

 

I get where you're coming from. I just feel a lot of guilt given how much we have meddled in the Muslim world. Why not let Syrians see how awesome Americans are ?

 

So because you feel guilty, we need to bring in millions of people, let them collect welfare, and put fellow Americans at risk? If you feel guilty, why not donate to some charities that can help people in those areas? Why make it my problem, when I don't share your guilt at all?

Because I don't want a Paris attack to happen here. Islam is not compatible with the West. If they were being ideologically consistent, they wouldn't want to live in the West anyway. They either want to come here for welfare benefits or to colonize more land for Islam. Neither option is what I want.

Logistically, I can't help all those Syrian who are fleeing their homeland. But collectively we can help them. And that you feel no guilt is on you. I'm also not asking for them to be on welfare. I was being overly dramatic with the "buy them mansions" comment. But they deserve a chance at the American dream as their was taken away due to our war efforts.
