I think this is something for only women to vote on, since it is they alone who deal with it.

    What are your thoughts?

What on Earth made you imagine only women “deal with” this question? Plenty of transgender people will choose to use male bathrooms (either because they’re transitioning to male or maybe despite their actual preference, to avoid this whole controversy and the threats to them associated with it).

Why have gender associated bathrooms ?
Have individual bathrooms each person enters has total privacy, locks the door, exits when finished, problem solved.

Sure, why not if it's just a bathroom? Works fine. What if it's a high school shower/locker room or community pool where little kids take their swim lessons? How about the shower rooms at a health club?

I hope you understand that no matter what happens either transgendered women or transgendered men are getting into women's bathrooms.

    You can either have "her":

    or "him":

Hence lockable private hygiene cubicles for each person, problem solved.

Ideally yes, but in many situations there is limited money or building space. Private rooms will result in fewer available toilets.

One compromise a lot of the newer designs are building is a men's restroom, a woman's restroom, and then a third "family restroom". Ostensibly for a mother or father who wants to change their baby's diaper, but actually there to be used by any gender. The family restroom only has one toilet though.

Another strategy I've seen, a building had 3 levels with a men and woman's bathroom on each level. They converted the men's bathroom on the top level into a "gender neutral" bathroom.
Guess they're a lot more comfortable with biological women choosing to enter the men's bathroom than the other way around. Anyway, someone who wanted to use the gender neutral bathroom would have to go all the way to the top level, but at least it's there.

And THAT is the point! It'll all be foisted upon us whether we like it or not.

I think it's a good idea. Whenever I want an eye-full I'll just put on a dress and go in for an intensive "look-see".
Anyway, Japan and Belgium have had mixed WC facilities for ages.

You are inposing limits based on your limited knowledge.
You are partly correct, Gender neutral bathrooms set up for anyone to use, smaller individual efficient hygiene rooms.

Properly designed and built in the same footprint as your old fashioned dedicated men / women bathrooms, at no more cost.

You could have always put on a dress ....you would be disappointed because women go into private stalls. Most people know that

    Again, the solution:

I have a distinct feeling on the stupid bathroom issue that some folks do not want a solution, they want conflict, I hate stall bathrooms.

    Example;

As a Police Detective, I was taking lunch, and needed to use the lavatory first, since I hate resting my sidearm on the floor where it could get snatched, And yes, it has happened.

A nutter started kicking in stall doors, and he kicked in mine, and there I was,
Glock 19 in my hand, he yelped and ran out.

I finished and washed up, and went out to order lunch, there was a sea of flashing lights out front, and a uniformed N.Y.P.D. Sergeant walks in and looks at me and asks, are you on the job ?

I reply, yes Sergeant, and show him my Gold Shield and explain the kicking incident etc and the Sergeant chuckled, as the guy got scared and soiled himself.

I had a nice lunch, I still hate stalls.
And if someone kicks in my stall, a
Glock 17 is what they will see.
I still have the proper credentials for it too.

I thought men’s bathrooms had urinals? And if you used the stall why would you put your gun in the floor. It would be like my putting my purse on the floor. I’m surprise a detective doesn’t realize that

I went in to number two.

And the holster is on the belt, and the stalls I refer to, have a toilet, and often, no convenient place for a side-arm.

And I never have been as dim witted as all that.

I find it hard to believe that a detective would actually leave his gun on the floor. If I can t find a place for my purse I put it on my lap

Oh gawrd, I did the next best thing, held it in my hand, not put it on the floor, I said it a few times already....

    Um, just a thought.

Why would women be the only people dealing with it.

Just don't be the guy that hung it on the coat hanger and created a full auto handgun.

That's why I like paddle holsters, you can just remove the whole holster and not face that problem.

Yeah, we had to use Department approved holsters then.
To reiterate, nothing laying on the foor, (holstered gun) that could be seen and snatched, it had happened before.

Plenty of trans men go into men’s bathrooms into the stalls.
I find it very interesting that men are the ones that get upset over transgendered women using a woman’s bathroom when women don’t really care
