@Pro_Line_FL also Stalin purged other socialists and communists claiming they were not ''real socialists''. This is very common phenomenon in fact in histoty of socialism and communism. Hitler was against marxist version of socialism because he saw it as international and also as jewish plot. But if he hated ''jewish form of socialism'' that does not mean he did not stand for socialism for Aryans, which was ''real socialism'' for him.

As was also explained already here we do not take marxist definition of socialism as the only right one, since socialism is older than marxism. And definition of socialism as state or public control of economy for the ''supposed benefit of society in general'' that surelly fits the version of socialism which National socialists established in Germany. Also SDP leader Ebert claimed after his socialist party came on government in Germany after WW1 that they will not repeat the mistakes of Soviet version of socialism which already at the time brought big famine and basically total collapse of economy.

Can we agree that Nazi Germany was enforced collectivism, and that socialism is also enforced collectivism?

Leftists argue endlessly that Hitler and Stalin were diametrically opposed politically. The truth is they were two sides of the same coin. In 1968, George Wallace commented that, “There wasn’t a dime’s worth of difference between Hubert Humphrey and Richard Nixon.” The same can be said for Hitler and Stalin.

Many conservatives can’t see much difference between Hitler and Stalin. They were both ruthless dictators who had terrible records on human rights. They were both imperialists who wanted to conquer territory. The difference was Stalin joined the west to save his hide and his regime after Hitler double crossed and attacked him.
