You started a thread about self defense in the home and then get all wound around the axle when people talk about self defense in their home in a way you don't like. Typical.

That's us. The wife and I both have guns close. I am to old to put up with to much silliness. If I can't shoot them she can.

~ Speaking of crap ... anybody know what in the hell people are doing with all the toilet tissue ❓

    ~ HA ! I am guilty this time ...
~ Yes exactly. I had a prowler a few years ago and that is exactly what the police told me. "You have the right to defend yourself "

Yeah, its too bad the NRA has bribed the Republicans to ban any research into research by the health authorities to research and understand how many are shot and wounded or killed and why so we can see if it is really true that it is much more to kill someone to go into someone else's home.

It’s pretty obvious that the vast majority of a time if someone breaks into your home, its on purpose.

And the source for your statistics about the "plenty of dead kids, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, grandmas and grandpas" is what exactly? Or is this just some liberal talking point you read somewhere.

Doesn't the DOJ maintain these statistics?

Liberals are disturbed by the subject of self defense. Why is hard to say, but I do believe many of them are too cowardly to defend themselves or their families and thus embrace pacifism as a cover.

Oh, yah, that left wing group called FBI has the main statistics.

For 2017, the 41% of homicides were for known or family members. 10% are known strangers. 50% are UNKNOWN!

Given the number of abusive husbands or exwives, etc (but wives kill some) too who are sneaky enough to kill without getting caught/detected.

The small 9.7% were strangers would seem to be pretty detectable, so having these little arsenal of very deadly firearms are looking likely to be used on someone you know or family.

On another board a Lib who claimed to be ex-military said he had guns for hunting, but if someone broke into his house, he would run out the back door. The guy had family so I asked, "so, you're a coward?". That didn't go over too well. ;-)

Lol. Lets see, a mistaken no-knock drug rade intended on the neighbor but the address was off by a number. That's done in some innocent people. How about missing a bad guy and end up shooting a across the street or the mailman or cops who were called by neighbor?

What is your life work if they shoot back with a gun that kills you or your family when you could get away without a shootoug?

Oh, yeah, I forgot. Gunnuts don't care who or how many they kill, guilty or innocent, just so they get to be macho.

So an intruder (defined as someone in my house illegally) is innocent?

Would you rather shoot someone or have your family end up like this?

One reason I despise liberals is their efforts to prevent people from practicing self defense via their unreasonable and cowardly gun control.

Firstly I don't see anything about Grandpas and Grandmas being murdered. Was that just some hyperbole you added for emotional effect?

Where is the correlation between murder being committed by a known person and owning a gun for self defense?
