I would only apply the term slavery to someone in the military if they were conscripted.

Have you ever read the California Constitution?

    Section 6
    Text of Section 6:
Slavery is prohibited. Involuntary servitude is prohibited except to punish crime.
    https://ballotpedia.org/Article_I,_California_Constitution

The 13th Amendment = Amendment XIII Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

And so it goes. Examples of so called racism that aren’t even racist, completely false, factual
statistics or fabricated lies. Debunked many times over. The fact you trot out all these “examples” is proof enough of your ignorance.

It’s just so sad. People like yourself who blindly believe what they read without actually fact checking, deserve to live in ignorance. And those who are in the underclass and think people are racist due false things they read, sadly deserve to stay where they are. They can’t be helped if they choose To remain ignorant.

    WRONG, again!

That is a CLASSIC EXAMPLE of the RACISM of your criminal IMPOTUS!

He fallaciously ASSUMED that just because she was black she would be able to arrange a meeting of members of Congress who are also black!

Furthermore he was too STUPID to know the difference between a reporter and a Congressional Representative.

So yes, your criminal IMPOTUS is a stupid racist and he just proved that he is during that exchange!

Half of Americans believe in aliens. About 18% believe in alien abduction.

And yet they shifted their voting behavior from Republican to Democrat right after Goldwater despite the Democrat party originally being the literal party of the KKK.

How were they leading? What, in your mind, forced 83% of the black respondents say trump is a racist?

    A) The margin of error for your polls is significantly higher. So, the overlap is almost certainly lower than you posit.
    B) There probably are some percentage of Black Americans who support trump despite (or even because) they believe he is a racist.

Think of point B this way. The poll from the OP notes that these folks believe Trump is a racist, but not specifically racist against Black Americans, right? So it is entirely possible that some of these African American voters believe Trump is only racist against Mexicans or Middle Easterners and they either do not care (because of the economy or whatnot) or they like that he is racist against them because they also do not like Mexicans or Middle Easterners.

This ^^^ is an clear example of the idiocy of identity politics. This is exactly why the Banana Republic Party is in a death spiral.

The problem is that racists are incapable of understanding that they are being racist because to them their racism is "normal" and everyone else has a problem instead of them.

When you try to explain it that just triggers their Cognitive Dissonance and Dunning Krueger takes hold which is what gives them their false "sense of superiority" without any credible basis for their position.

The term "trying to teach a pig to sing" is apt because it is a waste of your time and learning from mistakes is impossible for those incapable of recognizing their own mistakes.

    All valid points.

I often interact, and it has been used several times in this thread, the defense of "that's not racist because it is the truth."

And of course, that defense ignores the very possibility that the "truth" is either false or misleading. But more critical to the flaw of that defense is the underlying assumption of the "truth."

For example, many have trotted out the incarceration rates of African Americans as a reason to believe that they are more dangerous. And if you limit yourself to only considering their incarceration rates, you could very easily feel justified in believing they are more dangerous. But if you ask yourself why they are incarcerated more often, then you will get to see statistics like the fact that African Americans are 7-8x more likely to go to jail for drug related offenses despite the fact that polling data suggests they use the particular drugs at pretty much the exact same (or lower) rates than their White American counterparts.

That DEBUNKED drivel is so old it needs a wheelchair!

It was SOUTHERN RACISTS who "kept the black man down, and they kept women down. They introduced Jim Crow Laws, and they fought against Civil Rights"!

And it is SOUTHERN RACISTS who abandoned the DP and joined the GOP instead because they STILL want to keep "the black man down" and keep "women down" and given the chance they will reintroduce "Jim Crow Laws" and fight "against Civil Rights" for minorities!

    FACTS matter!

The problem is the Banana Republic Party of Identity Politics branding everyone as a racist for nothing. It's hilarious to hear explanations like the above in which racism is manufactured out of every interaction between individuals of different races. For example Trump's asking a black reporter who most likely has connections with black caucus members because they are the same race to inquire about setting up a meeting. There is absolutely nothing racist about that other than an assumption that people of the same race may have a connection. So what ???

Some of them have jobs thanks to Trump policies and tax reform and are receiving treatment for opioid addiction thanks to legislation signed by Trump in 2018 and billions of dollars in grants to reduce and treat opioid addiction.
